Literally impossible to give 3-2-1, so for this week only I'm extending it to 6-5-4-3-2-1.

6 - Bruce
5 - Johnstone
4 - Yze
3 - Heffernan
2 - Rivers
1 - White

Apologies to Thompson, Green, Holland, Read, Davey, Whelan, Wheatley, Carroll and Ward!

well ill give six votes though it might just be the top 3 that count

6 - Bruce
5 - White
4 - Rivers
3 - Yze
2 - Green
1 - Heffernan

an awesome effort boys i just cant wait for melbourne vs west coast

happy so see 39K down at the ground on an average day

well im just wrapped i think it was the best team effort i'd ever seen by the days

good to see heffers do well after being included

carroll also did well but i think that bizzel will warrent his spot

My votes:

5.5 - Bruce: 7 goals in an outstanding individual performance.

5.5 - White: Dominated in the ruck and around the ground, constantly giving Melbourne first use of the ball, and marking well across the ground. All Australian ruckman at this stage.

4 - Heffernan: Got plenty of the ball, and used it well. Tackles and one percenters very handy. Best game foir the Demons.

3 - Rivers: Marked everything which came his way, and did a fantastic job, such that the loss of Bizzell wasn't noticeable (who thought we would ever say that!). Outstanding start to his career.

2 - Yze: Got 31 touches, and used the ball very well. Great drive out of the back half. Lower in the votes because he picked up some fairly cheap kicks which pumped up his stats, but a very good game.

1 - Johnstone: In the first half he displayed his brilliant abilities and sublime skills. Tore Carlton apart. Faded late, but it was all over by then. Been going well in recent weeks.

Special mentions:

Holland: Very good game. Took some strong marks, crashed packs, and kicked four. Neitz drop in form wasn't noticeable due to him. Needs to work on his skills, however.

Read: One word: Hard.

Thompson: Just getting better. 21 touches, after 23 against the Swans, shows that he is now getting his hands on the footy more. Good skills, and just keeps having a go.

Davey: Caused havoc. When he gets the ball, things happen, mainly good! Not a selfish player (unlike some similar small forwards) and whilst he may not be a great set shot, can kick them on the run from some distance, and uses the ball well on either foot.

Carroll: Held Fevola well all day, good solid game. We now seem to have a wealth of key position players, forward and back (touch wood!).

Green: Uses the ball beautifully. Tagged early, but came into the match very nicely, getting 19 touches. His ability to kick the ball long and accurately helps our key forwards.

Godfrey: Tagged Stevens and restricted him. Stevens may have got 20 possessions, but he was ineffective in his use of the ball due to the constant pressure from Godders. Great at the centre bounces.

Unless anyone objects, then the player who gets the most votes will get the 3, the next best will get 2 votes, and then 1 vote will go to the next 4.

e.g.

Bruce - 3
Yze - 2
Heffernan - 1
Johnstone - 1
White - 1
Rivers - 1

I don't know how 4 players getting 1 can work considering we've been awarding a maximum of 3 players votes until now.

However Lamby you are welcome to have a go at adding it all up if you like & then we'll put it to the masses & see what they think.

I wish we'd used 6-5-4-3-2-1 from the start :(

I'm not that fussed I'll go with whatever the majority want, so give your feedback.

7 goals and 25 possesions only warrents 2 votes....none if we only use the 3-2-1 system which i think is fair

anyway it was a hard game to create votes for....a ripsnorter :) (gotta luv that word) of an effort by all the demons

I based my judgement when the game was won ie the first half. I think Bruce just finished off the good work of others.

I often do the same thing, I rate junk time (Ie after the 10 minute mark of the 2nd quarter on sun) about half as important as when the game is up for grabs.

Bruce had 15 possesions & 3.2 by half time so I think he did stand up when it was there to be won.

Thats a fair point BT. I think any of 5 players could get the top votes, but i'll stick with the way i've got them.
