Melbourne v Canterbury-Bankstown, Olympic Park Melbourne 7:30pm
Televised on Nine, 8:30pm!!

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend, as I will be in Europe ... but People who don't support either Carlton or Melbourne Demons (That's the AFL game on that night), get out and support YOUR RUGBY LEAGUE team!!!!!

Can we maybe keep this as a sticky so people in Melbourne will know about the game?

I'll make sure to advertise it in the Main Board a few times in a sneaky way :p:D

Great news!

The first step to promoting the game to Melbourne. I'm not sure who schedules the games in 2007 (Nine or the NRL), maybe it means the two Friday games next year will be shown at a decent time in Melbourne.

Hopefully they'll get a bigger crowd than last time they had a Friday game, it was about 9,000 and I think Steve Bracks, premier of Victoria was there too.

thats great news:thumbsu: .

I for one would love to see AFL,NRL and all the other codes co-exist on a level playing field but I know my dream will never come true :(. if it were possible to play an AFL game and and RL game at prime time for example on a saturday having an AFL game on at 5pm on a sat and then an NRL game at 7:30pm or so. it probably wont happen though

What they should do is play the 5:30 game at 5:00 so then people could go the rugby before the footy on a Sat night, I know I would go tomorrow if it was over before the footy at the G
