Cool! Jess and I are gonna be there tomorrow (she's at my place now and wants everyone to know she has the Gary Ablett book - it's really good). :D

Sounds like a brilliant initiative.

With training methods like this, it's little wonder that the Cats were the benchmark last season - and look set to repeat it again next season.

As a Storm supporter, i'm hoping that the Cats will be able to pass on some useful into to Cronk, Inglis and Smith concerning the 'finer arts' of kicking, though as a Hawk supporter, I hope the Cats learn nothing about tackling from the Storm. ;)

But seriously, tackling is one area that all clubs in the AFL can get better at. I'm sure that whatever the clubs learn from the opposite code will be very helpful.

Not a bad idea really. In this day and age any edge you can get will help, and I hope that the Storm lads can teach our boys a little bit about proper tackling. That is certainly one thing they know how to do in league.

Our strength and conditioning coach is an ex NRL player so I think the boys are well schooled in the art of tackling.

I was there for the second hour. Wasn't the best day for physical activities but they still did a fair bit. Not that much of interence. They looked like they were enjoying themselves though!

eliiiiza was that you that came fairly late and sat at the front next to the race with a camera?

Nah I didn't come fairly late, I left to send my friends off and to go to the toilets. I was in a blue shirt dress, same as the one I'm wearing in the Christmas party thread. :)

Who were you?

EDIT: Whoops, this is eliiiiza, I'm on my boyfriend's account.

Oh OK. Just that I saw a chick with a camera, that fits your description, sit down next to the race not long before the end. I just assumed you came late.

I was just a lone, skinny bloke up the back. You would not have seen me.

Our work Christmas party happened to coincide with the training, a bloody hot day for it, but was good to see the boys out there.
