Oliver unlucky to be in the only area where I didn't have to obviously reach to find somebody. I was never a massive Travis Johnstone fan but have gone for him instead in the hope of finding some run. Also considered Grimes, Harmes, Hogan, T. McDonald, Miller, Rigoni, Sylvia, Vince, Viney, Walsh and Watts.

Decent team, wouldn't beat many of the other best 22s.

Edit - IN: Schwarz, OUT: Dunn. Neitz can go into defence if required.

I like the side as much as anyone could like the bulk of our 21st century efforts. I’d chuck Whelan, Jetta and Bizzell in the backline instead of T Mac, Garland and Davey.

Trav Johnstone over Viney on the wing (positional more than anything).

Davey in the forward line over Garlett for defensive pressure.

Jack Viney over Woewodin on the bench. I’m not really sold on the need for Jeff White as a second ruck, so maybe T McDonald in his place for versatility.

Edit: Garlett over Moloney on the bench. Although, you never can have too many inside mids.

Twas a line ball call between James Sellar and Steven May, and Paul Johnson and Jesse Hogan if I’m honest.

The stunning thing about this team is that there were so many other ordinary players like Dan Nicholson, Chris Lamb, Simon Buckley, Chris Johnson and so on to miss out. Depth
