I don't like to blame umpiring, it's too easy, but geez the Demons were very stiff on a few decisions late.

The umpiring was terrible, both ways, all day, especially on anything holding the ball related.

DISGRACEFUL umpiring.

Demons deserved to win that, I can't believe we come away with the 4 points. We should give them back, I feel dirty.

Umps must've had cash on the Pies, that's the only reason I can think of for such consistently poor one way umpiring.

Having said that, the Dees had there chances late in the game and couldn't take them so Melbourne has to take some credit for the loss.

Congrats regardless for a ripping game.

I hate it when people blame the umps for a loss, but you guys were robbed by the umps today. Some terrible decisions at very important parts of the ground.

I'm being dead serious when I say I usually don't mind the umpiring and it's usually only a couple of iffy frees here and there that get me worked up.

But today's "effort" was the worst I've seen since Rd 4, 1997 against Footscray.

Judging by BF's reaction I think this will be heavily scrutiinised over the next week.

Would have been great for morale to get the win but the disciplines were there - wins arent far away if we keep that up. Watts and Jurrah will be the difference in a few years.

I want every footy panel show this week to be showing comparative footage of the absolute bollocks Strauss (called HTB) and Shaw (not called HTB) decisions on a loop until Gieschen provides an answer on how these interpretations were made, or declares that they got it wrong.

I thought the umpires gave Collingwood the game against Adelaide in last years final. I mean seriously, it was like the game was totally rigged. I remember watching that game with a piece of me dying, i thought the game was fair. It was like realising for the first time that the WWF/WWE wrestling wasn't real.

I didn't see the game today but i can imagine what the umpires did. Do you think Collingwood pay them out?

As for Melbourne.... You guys can take so much out of this game. Have pride. Have confidence. You guys are on the right track and will be a serious force when you're young guys get some games together.
