Melbourne vs Hawthorn

Lets not forget, Rivers is in good form and hopefully can drop back in front of Williams.
If a loose man is created in both backlines I think we will have the edge because they rely a lot on Williams.

Carroll would be a better option on Williams imo.

Williams's strength is his speed. Noone on our team can match him, our fastest is Bell and he was taken to the cleaners by Williams last year.

Why not expose his lack of height and put Carroll on him who is taller and stronger? It has been done in the past with success with players such as Scarlett, genuine fullbacks. Williams plays as a genuine FF, so put a genuine FB on him and yeh, Whelan is always backup.
Luke Williams actually played on M.Williams last year. Great matchup

If we don't, it may suggest that our recent form isn't up to speed yet to be considered a serious challenger.

in my opinion it doesn't hinge on this one match, that's just silly... we've still got a long way to go...

we've won 3 games by less than a goal, and slaughtered a pathetic fremantle side... it's great that we are grinding out games, but we still have alot of improvement in us, and need to see that improvement if we are going to be a serious challenger as you say...

Lamb is playing at Sandy, so if anything should be brought back, its him! :D
Lamb is a Dees legend, i still have the tape of the game up in Brisbane where we beat the Lions and he slaughtered Lynch.

Crawf and Jacobs have been named, BUT I doubt Crawf will pull up.

I'm hoping that a last minute change of Crawford out will also lead to a last minute change of Godfrey out.

Junior to play on Mitchell
Bartram on Hodge
Green as back-up.

Godfrey to cheer CJ on from the sidelines :thumbsu:

Based on what?
Word is that he has struggled to get through training this week but would like some confirmation.

Reckon your forward line will be the difference. With Croad out, our forward line is far too one-dimensional. Stop Williams and we don't have a chance.

Midfield battle will exciting. Everitt is playing like he doesn't give a :D:D:D:D but he routinely dominates White. Hodge, Mitchell, Crawford v Moloney, McLean, Johnstone, Bruce. Should be a ripper in there but the difference up front will be telling.

Melbourne by 6 goals.

.....and demonstrable proof of improvement is comfortably knocking off sides like Hawthorn on Friday.

A win is a win. I would rather win consistantly then be up and down from week to week.

I hear what your saying, its nice to put away teams, but the simple reality is if you have more points on the board, even if it is only a single didgit, its 4 pts. And thats all that matters.

stoked with the victory

what a game... and now we got some much needed percentage...

lovin it

go the dees

We passed the test we failed in round 1. Now the test will come against quality opposition on their home ground next week. Does anyone give them us a chance?
I think we definitely have a chance, pretty much the whole side is in form and the pies were able to take it right up to the eagles last week...whose to say we couldnt do the same.
