Just hope Melbourne have a red hot and it doesn't develop into a one sided contest.

cleaned up by the saints reserves. How did you go against a real team like the Hawks in a praccy game?

The hawks flogged us, but we beat Richmond and Geelong through the middle in most of the relevant stats.

Heh, if Melbourne supporters whinge about Docklands they must have hated going out to Mulgrave.

Gosh, don't you remember how Waverley was the greatest ground ever and the atmosphere was amazing and the facilities were first class and everyone loved the place and flocked there in huge numbers?

With a full side in we would lose and we will probably lose in style now with Shannon Byrnes being our tallest available player. :rainbow:

Melbourne didn't reach their full potential last week, I think we could've played a much better game.
I still think west coast will probably win in the end (I think by about 5-6goals), but I think Melbourne will play a better game (even if the margin is bigger then what St.kilda)

Melbourne did get within 3 goals of the saints, so you'd expect, so long as they don't get ahead of themselves, they should win this one comfortably. Yes, yes, saints were missing a midfield, but still...
and why can't I be deluded? Read plenty of deluded posts on here all the time.

Is this even threadworthy?

Its bloody melbourne for goodness sakes.

Sounds more like a Trap thread to get folks gloating so that in the one in a million chance that the unexpected happens it'll become a reverse-gloating thread.
Nah I'm genuinely interested as to whether they can make this a contest.

If it's a horrendous thrashing, which West Coast are able to dish out even at the worst of times for them, what happens next?

West coast by plenty. Simply too many talls for Melbourne but hopefully the dees don't roll over by 80+ and can keep it right for 2-3 qtrs

WC should win, but the equation creates a great tactical opportunity for a coach. Do Melbourne have too many smalls for WC? Can WC match the superiority that Melbourne should have with the inclusion of a smaller more mobile team? What can Roos do to create some favourable mismatches caused by WC being too tall? Really those are the kind of questions that Roos should be forcing West Coast to answer imo. I am sure they can answer them and I am not suggesting MFC would win, but they need to know there is hope there.

Or to bait West Coast supporters into acting like cocky dickheads.

Either way, mission accomplished.

It won't be a thrashing. Melbourne won't allow our mids the same time and space that the bulldogs did and our forward 50 will be at Noah flood levels

I think we will win but it'll be a slog

West Coast have the points, I just want us to hold on to some %age.

I hope Melbourne can force a contest. It would be pretty depressing for the competition if they get belted.

Would be really good for the competition if Gold Coast win

No it wouldn't. That means they're on the march to take the next four premierships sooner than we think. Don't be daft.
