Melbourne's Hidden Bars

Wanting to go somewhere different rather than your local pub for the footy or the same, old same old places.

One of my favourites for something different is The Croft Institute.

Workshop is good for a drink and chat, especially the outdoor area.

So for something different, novel or unique, where would you go out for a drink?

Name your hidden bar gems!

It's not hidden but Section 8 is my favourite.

You know you've done something right when your "pop-up" (this place was built before pop-up ever became a thing) which was meant to be there for 6 weeks has lasted over 10 years, and gotten bigger.

Funnily enough our Secret Bar is across the road from the MCG and AAMI Park.

It's called Moonshine Bar, and it's hidden in an alley next to Holliava at 34 Swan St, Richmond. Literally across the road from the station, and the first bar when walking back from or to the parks.

We wanted to offer a quiet and chilled out drinking option in the Beer/Footy central Richmond. We are only open Saturdays 6pm-Midnight.
If you're in the area, come check it out or you can visit www.moonshinebar.com.au
