Well done. I tried the first year to get on there, but failed.
Good luck .
My complaint will go against a lot of the younger ones here, but, can we have the music TURNED DOwN.And the MCs to not yell and scream. It drives me crazy and every memebers meeting that the club holds, this is brought up.
Bloody hard to even have a conversation withthe person along side you.
This, so much.
They clearly turned up the volume this season.

I don’t know how organised and structured other Clubs’ Cheer squads are but they certainly present better than we do and we need to be bebetter.
It just takes one leader.

That someone prepared to get on their feet, turn and face the crowd instead of the game and start the next chant. Armed with a never ending litany for the mob to chant.

Feedback to be put forward:
  1. Each player to have their own song played when they score a goal
  2. Appoint a cheer squad captian/co-ordinator that is responsible for the functioning of the cheer squad
  3. Select several members of the cheer squad to fly to Melbourne to meet with the cheer squads of other clubs for knowledge sharing and capacity building of the Freo cheer squad
  4. Stop playing Coldplay

1. Get rid of the come together song when Freo enter the field (boring as bat doo do) and instead keep playing hells bells!
2. Absolutely agree turn down the MC mics - the shouting and fake enthusiasm is both excruciating and annoying.
3. Bring back the purple jumper with white anchor for retro round or purple haze game or both.
4. Reserve fireworks for night games only.
5. Cease the individual player intros before the bounce - embarrassing that some players receive little to no applause.
6. Cheersquad does need improvement. Would be great if they were permitted to bring drums and/or a trumpet.

Give us physical memberships back. Hate the link with ticketmaster. Nothing better than the lanyard and card. At least have a member vote/survey.
Think you will find most people prefer the new way... Can't have two different systems either.

I think the problem is actually Ticketmaster.... I complain regularly to the club and from their reaction there are plenty who are unhappy with it.
🤔 Is it an AFL mandated thing?

What about people who don't have a smart phone? Or struggle with them? My septuagenarian husband is one of those - not sure he'd even manage to download his ticket himself!

It's not like there weren't any problems with the previous system. It's a trade off, we can now easily transfer tickets whereas that took a lot more effort previously. It's also one less thing to carry and locate. These days I can go to the footy with just one item, my phone. Previously I had to carry phone, wallet, tickets, radio etc.

IMO it's one of those situations where they're damned if they do or do not. We're all different and someone is going to complain no matter what they decide. So the approach must be minimisation of those who are not satisfied, not elimination, which is impossible.

Most of the population are comfortable with technology. I would complain if they went back to the old system for example.

Get those Gage Road clowns to make a beer that doesn’t taste like a mixture of beer and fruit punch

IPA is PG rated slop

Some blokes still have hair on their nuts

Cheers 🍻
If you'd like a terrible lager they offer Alby for your 'enjoyment'.
You must pine for the Carlton Mid days 🤨

You might need some of that aforementioned hair for flavour though.

Why do member have to pay for FFC purchased games? FFC gets a benefit from no travel expenses, more chance of winning and non season ticket and North members purchasing tickets.

1) FFC did not purchase the game; the WA govt paid (North via AFL) to relocate two home games to WA, effectively like the North agreement with Tas*
2) Even if FFC did purchase the game, the club would have to recoup some or all of that cost through seling tickets
3) Seated memberships aren’t golden tickets allowing members access to any and every Freo game; they are prepurchased tickets to X number of games. A season ticket gives its holder access to all 11 home games, but not, e.g., the away derby — nor the away game against North.

*I stand to be corrected on the precise details of the arrangement, as I haven't poured over the detail.

  • Win a game in Victoria
  • Have interstate representation at the member forum
  • Give interstate members free Big Macs
  • Give interstate members virtual access to the end of season Locker Room sale
  • Have more engagement between the club and forums such as BigFooty
  • Win a bloody game in Victoria
  • Recognise and acknowledge the challenges of being an interstate supporter
  • Make a Bailey Banfield bobblehead toy

I’d settle for turn up to a game in Victoria and actually put in a performance.

Seriously, we’ve been dudded in Victoria and on the Cost/Time/Benefit Scale, we are horrendously in the negative.

Cry me a river. Your games start at 740 or 750. Ours start at 610. You have an extra hour and a half to get home from work, package up the kids, and get there by kick off. Not to mention how on weekday games we get no dedicated buses to the stadium

You reckon that’s bad…4:40pm on a Sunday is a bloody abomination and yet we have to routinely suffer that here in Melbourne while Perth can enjoy a 2:40pm game.

That extra 90 mins you talk about is trying to actually get transport to Melbourne games with no guarantee of a smooth trip home as due to the lucky dip here, your train line is the one up for works.

I agree that our Cheer Squad needs a lot of improvement. My partner and I are Cheer Squad members and have witnessed the numbers dropping and the amount of cheering lessening.

Maybe you could suggest that the Club do a Promo possibly using one of the players along the lines of the “Uncle Sam needs you” stuff to get more people into the Cheer Squad. There aren’t enough people there plus many of them barely make a sound. The lack of people looks terrible on tv and we come across as a boring lot.

The Club may want to offer some new incentives to new Cheer Squad recruits to improve the numbers as many aren’t interested in joining because of the no alcohol and no opposition guests policy. I also think we need more banners and images of players to hold up.

I don’t know how organised and structured other Clubs’ Cheer squads are but they certainly present better than we do and we need to be better.
Bring Seppo out of retirement.

That’s right. You have to sign a form that you agree you will not take alcohol into the cheer squad area.
Imagine being the Melbourne cheer squad having to work with the performances we've put up there and NOT being allowed to drink. My respect for them have gone up 400%.

Then you see the team do well in all other interstate games and wonder whether the team is trolling us (I know they're not, don't @ me).
