Yeah, but sometimes how a player performs in U18 is vastly different to them at AFL level. Murphy played as a forward in U18, yet they thought he would be better as a defender.Could but lot of People said he was Miles better as a Defender then as a Forward in the TAC Cup and U-18 Champs. Though I liked what I saw oin the 2 games this Season in the VFL when he was up Forward

Wow. At least he is close, and another pre-season and development will take him a step further. Big bloke, but still very young.Apparently Lynch was going to debut over Cox in the West Coast game we won by a point but obs didn't as he hurt his shoulder in the VFL. Cox went on to kick 4 that night.

No idea. Maybe by then, they thought it was best to use the roughy dynamic they had been going with in the meantime, and didn't want to risk him. Hard to say really. Then why did he NOT Debut after Cox's Eye Injury?

Tohill down back screams McLarty through the ruck to me...
Third tall may work perhaps. Where he can use his size and athleticism to intercept. Tohill doesn't project well for any position to me though. He seems more a flanker. I thought wing might be an option. He has a bit of space for his speed there and can run at the goals. He seems more comfortable when he's heading towards goal.
Reckon the club might purposefully keep him in the twos next year to avoid triggering the extra year on the contract?I don’t think the games ready for it, but 6’6 wingman are the future, IMO. The flexibility of running your back up ruck off of a wing is massive because it allows you to hold your forward structure and solidifies your bench structure. Is Tohill the man? Not for mine because he lacks the footy nous that mids need. Unfortunately I think you’re right that a flank role probably suits him best and I doubt he makes it at the top level in that role. It’s hard enough for a guy like WHE!
It seems the club may have clued in to the relevance of winning on the psyche of members because without Guy, Hine or Walsh being involved it’s a colossal waste of time. The only other insight I’ve had was the Cox/ Lynch chat which was interesting only because it showed Cox was that close to getting dumped. Lynch is coming and Cameron is on board now so I don’t think his spot is safe in the best 22 without actually performing in 2020. That’s a big step forward, IMO.

Not to me. The second I saw Tohill I thought he looked a CHB type. Worth a shot there.Tohill down back screams McLarty through the ruck to me...
Bit like Josh Fraser?

Walsh stated the surface is not to blame for any injuries or players pulling up sore, that was mainly what the person asking the question was getting at“The surface looks great”. No shit, no ones been using it for 2 months.
Apparantely Greenwood is on track for a mid-season return! :O

I hope they put some effort into fan engagement outside of Melbourne. I don't think we can call ourselves the biggest club in Australia until we take that seriously and currently we just don't. It's this forum and efforts like your training posts that keep me in touch with our club and I really value yours and others work doing that.
