Incredible that we managed to increase our membership in 2013 to the same point over 2012. What were we thinking?

I was wondering about that too.

I seriously considered chucking it in - the club was beyond a joke and I was so angry with feeling that the administration was taking my money and dedication, and then just taking the piss.

I think I decided to stick with it because Jim Stynes had died in 2012 and I developed some hazy notion that it would be an insult to Jimmy's memory to desert at that point. Now that I examine that thought I have to say it is totally irrational but that's what kept me around.

You can take a screenshot on most phones these days. You don't need a second device. Usually just need to press two buttons at once depending on what phone you're using.

It's actually becoming pretty complicated supporting Melbourne these days. I entered a competition a few weeks back run by a sponsor and now I'm spammed like nothing else with weird emails about investment portfolios so I'll take a photo of that for you as well.

Reading a lot on social media people are kicking up a fuss with club dropping some membership benefits. Anyone here in the same boat or feel the same way. (note i'm a GA member so i'm not in this boat and i have no problems at all with membership, just wondering if some people on here are as upset as those on social media)

I'm not happy with club membership entitlements being further eroded this year - any more Legends/Premium members out there who feel the same.......

Legends membership three years ago included two tickets to one President's Club lunch (now Chairmans Club) where you had the chance to meet Barass and others (with your partner) - this was removed, this year the club has also taken away optional dates for three pre-match functions (was select 3 of 5 dates now no choice) plus we are given two 'substitute' home games for the 2 sold to the NT which are of absolutely no value to Legends members. Throughout this time membership fees have consistently gone up annually.

The only thing I'd say to those people is that most things cost more annually and if you're not happy with what you're getting, don't buy it.
Nobody is holding a gun to his head, choose a different package.

Agree with this, I can understand some complaint but like just buy a cheaper package if you don't like it?

Haha. I'm an MCC/MFC member so when that renewal comes round (August-ish) I usually just have to tick a box. Pretty sure I didn't do it at the time (skint) but there seems to have been no let up in normal member emails from the club. Anyway I tried to sign in the other day to check my status and couldn't remember my password, so I sent them an email asking for it to be reset but never heard back. And now I'm telling you a long and boring story in response to what was presumably a rhetorical question. Although I suppose you can see how I get confused with things like my membership status.

I think so. Yes, we do. I remember being annoyed because the merchandise perks are skewed towards dogs. It's unfair. Ron Barassi and Stretch don't need a leash.
