Always found it a bit ******* ridiculous that every club has the ability to profit off this. Surely the clubs make enough money to not have to screw the fans.

Would rather all these tickets be allocated to the competing teams, much smaller amount for generic afl packages with profits split between clubs if really needed
'Screwing the fans' is the AFL's corporate mission statement.

I'm seriously thinking of buying one of those WCE packages but am hesitant to spend that kind of coin, and then the Crows don't make it.

If I wait until the result of our prelim, would West Coast's packages sell out?
You would have to ring up Member services Monday morning as you can't do it online right?
If that's the case...might be really difficult.

Does anyone know more details about allocation?

So the club gets around 17k tickets for members.

How many gold members do we have?

What is the split of those 17 k tickets. i.e. how many cat 1, 2, 3, down to standing etc ?

Basically trying to calculate the odds of getting a decent spot.
I can assure you from experience that any spot is a good spot in the Grand Final - just be glad to be there

I remember in 1997 seeing lifelong old supporters of St Kilda heartbroken and begging with a placard for a ticket on the roadside (and ditto last year with Footscray) - unfortunately the AFL are the only ones who can fix the system but they have zero desire to do so - the $ rule

The whole Grand Final ticket allocation system stinks.
There should be AT LEAST 60,000 tickets available for competing clubs and their members. 40,000 is PLENTY for corporate, AFL & MCC members, competitions and other clubs to sell.

Update: AFL site has sold out of Finals Series passes :(

Thank goodness for West Coast (for the second time in four days)

If West Coast have them wouldn't other clubs still have some?

Like Gold Coast for example?

Just thinking for others.

I think it would be safe to assume that if West Coast get up this weekend they will sell out before our Prelim game..

I've emailed literally every single other club, most are the same deal - only Ultimate Package left.

Brisbane have single seats available for the Front Bar package, North have their breakfast, but West Coast represent the best value available for those.

So basically going on numbers posted in this thread as a Priority 2 member I have roughly a 1 in 20 chance of a ticket shall we get through? Jaysuz I'm not a gambling man but I don't like those odds :expressionless:

What's the dealio with the WCE package? Anyone have rough prices?

I get what youre saying, but Im just trying to avoid standing or restricted view. Dont like the random factor when there are better tickets available now. Not fussed with the cost, just dont want to get them if we dont make it.
