Does anyone have an idea of current membership numbers for each team??
Hawthorn is currently on about 19,500 members, we should be able to get to 30,000 members this year in my opinion.

I think the eagles are on about 32,000. We're a bit short on members this year, but the vics are jealous nevertheless

Not much point in comparing individual Vic based clubs at this stage.

Clubs whose memberships are linked to reserved seating (ie: Ess, Cats, Dogs, and to a lesser extent, Coll and Rich) sell more pre-season and less after the first round.

The only way to comparitively judge membership growth is to compare the number sold at the same time in the previous year and the percentage of new members.

Essendon are about 100 short of 33,000.

We should end up well over 35,000.

Isn't half your membership base locked up in cages at the Melbourne Zoo ??

Depending on who you're speaking to it was anything between 17000 & 20000 this past week for the Kangaroos.

History has shown that the Kangas members are usually pretty slow on the renewals & that April/May will be the busiest time for our membership department.

Our draw up until round 5 gives us only one game in Melbourne so its understandable why many would just want to put off forking out the big dollars until after then.

As of last Friday, we had 17,600 members. This is only 250 short of last years total of 17,850. Apparently there may be an extra 600 coterie members who have not yet been added.

Like 35eye has just said, we also seem to sell a large proportion of our memberships after the season has started. Last year, due to our horrendous start to the season (which didn't get any better) and the Waverley factor, we sold very few memberships during the season.

Our aim was for 25,000 members. This may/may not be achievable. Obviously a successful start to the season would mean a lot however a figure well over 20,000 would be an acceptable figure and something to build on as a new era in our clubs history dawns.
