Membership Question

Hi all, I have recently moved closer to Melbourne and have made the decision to regularly attend games as a member. Beforehand I lived hours away from the G and I wasn't able to get down there week in week out.

Yesterday I signed up for the Season Ticket Home & Away General Admission membership and I put my details down on this page https://membership.collingwoodfc.com.au/payments/quickbuy/pricing/6656 including my credit card info.

I got an email from the club saying "Thank you for your support" But no other information has been provided to me, for example member number, etc. And nor has any money been deducted from my credit card.

Can someone help me with getting Membership set up? Have I done it wrong? Do I need to wait for a Collingwood representative to email me my details?

This is exactly what happened to me. I bought the same package last Thursday and got the exacts same email with no money deducted from my card yet.

I sent them a second email today as I don't really like talking on the phone I always prefer to text but if they don't reply within 24 hours I might have give them a call.

Yep will do.

I was nice enough to wait because of the Anzac Day coming up and I did all the online work on the Wednesday or Thursday not too sure but no excuses this week.

I don't want to pay extra to go to the Carlton game on Friday.

Yes same, I'd like to attend the Carlton game on Friday as well and if I'm going to get a membership I don't see why I should pay extra.
 
Call them with your credit card in your hand & they will fix it on the spot.
They will advise when & how to collect your membership card.
I would call first up Tuesday. They are quite helpful & efficient.
 
I seemed to have more luck with this 'MyMagpies account manager' thing they have on the membership site.

I signed up and created an account, paid and now have this in my email.

Is there any way I can pick up my membership card from the club or do I just have to wait for it to get sent in the mail?

You can collect at the club or on match day at the MCG, however they have to print the card first.
A telephone call may expedite production/collection of card (the rest of the package can come later)?

The club should really explain things better.

Worst case scenario I get my card after the Bye/Adelaide game.
 
Also just a personal gripe here, I hate using tickettek to get tickets!!!
Trying to get a guaranteed seat for the carlton game and every time I go through the process of searching for tickets I seem to get allocated a better seat!
Yesterday all Categories up to 4 were exhausted, Today I can get a Category 3 seat.

Hello to whom it may concern.

On Sunday I made the decision to sign up for a Collingwood membership.

I purchased the Adult Membership Season TIcket Home & Away General Admission
I signed up via this link https://membership.collingwoodfc.com.au/payments/quickbuy/pricing/6656 on the Collingwood website.

Once I entered my details in, including my credit card Information, I was sent an email saying "Thank you for your support"
No other details were given to me about membership, etc. So I was very confused weather my application for Collingwood membership went through.

I let Monday pass hoping a representative from Collingwood would get onto this and I would be emailed more details about my membership, but this was not the case.

So a Friend told me to sign up for a 'My magpies' account and buy membership through that.
So I went to your membership site, made an account and realized I was eligible for the concession membership because I had a student card.

I've paid for the Concession Membership Season Ticket Home & Away on my My Magpies account under a 6 month payment plan ($56.88 upfront) and it went through fine, With this system I got an email saying that I will receive my membership kit in 14-21 days, great. This was much more useful than the first link I described.

However now I have logged into my Netbank (Commonwealth Bank) account to see that I have been charged $56.88 for the Concession membership AND $212.80 for the Adult membership previously signed up for. Also there is no record of my Concession membership being on my 'MyMagpies' account. It just states the invoice for the adult membership.
This all happened due to a lack of communication as due to the lack of Acknowledgement that I had actually signed up for a membership, so I've practically gone and signed up for one again.

I'd just like to see to it that I get my Concession Membership, as well as my $212.80 refunded for the Adult membership.

Now it's just turned from 'annoyance' to 'Now i've got no money'

Here's hoping we can get this resolved soon.
Would really like more communication between the club and potential members.

They took money from my card this morning but still yet to receive an email from the club. Check your balance, I am sure they would have processed your one as well this morning.

See what I posted above. They've gone ahead and charged me what I paid for in the first post, just like you. But I've still paid for the MyMagpies membership that I bought last night too. So technically I've been charged twice.

I signed up for an AFL membership today. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the stuff sent out? I assume I wont have it for Friday nights game.

I'd say at least 2 weeks.

Still no reply on my email yet.
 
I finally got an email yesterday with my membership number and also said that my membership card will be printed out today so I am hoping it arrives tomorrow or they will have to give me a ticket at one of those tents to get in the game.

Glad you've got something. Meanwhile I'm sitting here with $200 less in my bank account and no reply on them fixing it.
Plus an expensive $41 ticket to tomorrow's game :P
