Allot of supporters have the mindset, "why go to the games when you know your going to lose". It's sad but true.

I have to say, me being a west coast supporter, have grown to like you over the 2009 season for thrashing freo by 63 points. I know I laughed hard that game.

I think it was too....

Got to say, I do myself amazed so often at the sheer lack of knowledge exhibited with such apparent confidence by some opposition fans when it comes to our club.

I mean, as all of us would know, we've had consecutive membership records over the last 2 seasons, and we could smash the current record by as many as 3,500 or more next year, and there are 5 other clubs with less members than we achieved in 2009, even while we've been on the bottom, but somehow some BFers still think we have a "membership problem"...

We don't have a membership problem, we have an attendance problem.

It's all well and good having 32k members but when they don't attend games it makes buying a membership almost pointless.

Well, the point and value of memberships in the financial bottom line is obvious enough.

I agree that it'd certainly be nice to have those sorts of numbers turning out for us every week, but of course, not every member lives in Melbourne, or even in Victoria, so that's a factor that also needs to be considered.

And the scheduling of matches, especially during the last 2 seasons, has to be taken into account as well, of course.
