Considering all the fluctuations of life one experiences in that period of time, the financial up and downs, club prosperity volatility, team performance up and downs, the moving about as one starts work, starts a family, loses touch with grassroots developmental connections - this is truly an incredible achievement. Quite extraordinary really. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Been a Social Club Member every year since 1984 (Dad joined me up when I was an 8 y/o). Will be a member for the rest of my life.

Great to see CFC giving the discounts at the Carlton Shop this year. So with my 27 year consecutive membership I get a 15% discount.
Having 3 kids of me own now and buying 3 jumpers, 3 scarfs, etc. it is a good saving.
Go Blues!

Dad signed me up at birth..so this is my 18th year now. Second year paying for myself though :P

Prepare to be disappointed, hd. I was due my 30 year membership badge this year and got nothing but a couple of misprinted sheets of cardboard. I presume they no longer do them which hacks me off a tad.

They got my years right, but I got a cardboard sheet this year, I got a 30year pin which is my avatar, but expected they would keep that milestone presentation up, my wife got the same card for 7 years....... Maybe when I hit 50 years.

I framed mine tho.....looks good on my office wall

I've been a member for 12 years all up. I used to be a social club member when we were still playing at Princes Park, but the captain's club arrangements we get at Etihad and MCG don't provide the same experience and are so crappy compared to the package Collingwood supporters get.

5 years as a member this season, 2nd with a reserved seat. pity the person who sits 2 seats down from me look slike Stephen Kernahan, but i think SHE is a nice woman.

After my first season as a member i upgraded to an 18 game membership only to move to Queensland before the season started. Great investment!!!

Plan on staying 4 life.

Someone mentioned earlier th epay by the month plan. I do it, basically whatever you sign up for divide by 10 and thats your monthly payment. It changes near the end of every month except Sept and Oct.

And the caps are shit. Give us choice or rotate every few years between a cap, scarf and something else.

Signed up when we could least afford it in 2002 so am in my 10th season. Small price to pay for the job that the club brings me, even if I don't get to see many games.

First year as an interstate member. Went to the opening round against Richmond and watched them play a couple weeks ago against Sydney. Was a junior member for a long time. I think I took living in Melbourne for granted, I really miss the atmosphere of the footy, probably compounded by not living in an AFL friendly area lol.

I've managed to convert a German, Rugby Union loving mate into a Carlton member this year, really loves the game as well.

I was impressed that I received the cap and the scarf even though it was an interstate membership.

joined up this year.
dont get to see many games living in sydney so went for the interstate membership. absolutely perfect for me. also spend at least $300-$400 a year on different bits of carlton merchandise. my whole wardrobe is practically the online carlton shop

What do the ferals supporters get in comparison to ours, I never experienced the social club at Princes park but I can sort of see what you mean about the captains club.

6th year as a member. It would have been 7 years except i refused to pay membership the year they got rid of Fevola. It was my little protest against the club.

The biggest advantage Collingwood's social club has over ours is that their arrangements apply to away games as well as home games, while Carlton supporters only get general admission for away games. There is also smaller things that they get a better deal on, such as undercover second level seats at the G, while we get forward pocket seats out in the open.

I think you will find that Captains Club Standard/Premium Gold Members who purchase 18 games, get a reserved seat also at away games. That option is available but at a higher cost.

I am a Captains Club Gold member & have undercover seats at the MCG on the Ground level.
