Essendon members have been stung $10 to upgrade for the unofficial pre season game at Whitten Oval while Bulldogs members were grabbing tickets for free. It's about time the club organised a home game as we've had two straight pre seasons now without a home practice game.

The Hanger would be a pain to hold one with limited parking & Windy Hill is used for cricket.

I would imagine if the roles were reversed and it was our home game, I’d expect the same deal

It is.It just takes a little effort. It also takes a train/Tram/Bus or two busses from Craigieburn.

It really isn't. When it takes 2 hours from the geographical centre of the city and requires you to take all three forms of PT, it's not accessible.

Windy Hill is PT accessible. All you need to do is take two trains if you aren't on the Craigieburn line. Box Hill City Oval the same. Actually pretty much true for all VFL grounds, it's either a train and a tram (Princes Park) or two trains

Whatever Eth. It is doable if you really want to go.
Takes me an hour and thirty minutes to get home from the MCG most games and if I do not drive to a station then it also has walking time.
Marvel is an hour.
It is doable. It just is not fast and easy.

Yeah I live in a good spot to get to most places easily via PT. And your last sentence is exactly my point, it's hard and long to get to for a pre season game. Yoda_ lives in Casey, if he takes the train from Cranbourne station it'd take him nearly 2 and a half hours.

Windy Hill is easier and a better venue but it is still a two train or train and a tram trip from the East.

I was not saying Tullamarine was fan friendly. It is not. They do not even have an Toilet open on a Saturday despite the fact that there is pretty much always 50 to 60 odd people there. My point was to refute the claim that there where no PT options. Does not matter if it takes 2 hours. There are public transport options if you want to plan it.

Not that hard. Took me 5 minutes to work it out.

Would I rather watch at Tullamarine or Windy Hill. That is a no brainer. I am glad the game is at the Western Oval rather than Tullamarine despite the fact parking is crap near the ground and it is a 50 odd minute drive or over an hour to train it there.

Well just got ****ed on Anzac Day tickets. Ticketek kept timing out once I finally got out of the virtual queue . Three times and two hours later can only purchase single tickets. Go and get ****ed Ticketek.

I can echo this. Same situation. They need to use a different ticket service. It's consistently this rubbish platform.

Ended up getting two tickets for the both of us but not together. Should not be that hard to get away member upgrades . Why they open up rounds 1 to 15 all at once is beyond me. The worst thing is the club can do nothing about it and you can not easily get in touch with Ticketek.

yeah similar thing happened to my dad, got tix for a lot of other games but that one got ****ed in the system

You have to have hobbies and do something with your time. Don't stress. At least it is giving you something to do which is important. Money is overrated and means nothing.
