Dont get me wrong, I love to see the guy firing but reading comments recently he is considered our best forward by many and i dont think hes that great. I feel like he had one good string of games playing around an in form roo and bruce and is over rated.. he's no match winner. Sorry timmy hope you dont read this..

No really not trying to troll.. i dont follow all the stats i just thought he seemed to only do well when other forwards around him were firing. Fair enough if hes injured atm.

He is at the moment. Bruce is already traded as far as most on here go and Membrey might as well go too. Put all our chips in on Paddy and hope that Tom Lynch feels sorry for us.
 
Clearly he is injured at the moment. Yes, he probably benefited from having Roo and Bruce around but his goal kicking accuracy was no fluke.
He'll be back.

If anything he's underrated. You'd think that, by the way that some people have been talking about him recently that he's not any good. He's clearly injured and not playing great footy as a result. You don't kick 85-odd goals in two years and magically become shit. He's not a #1 forward either, he plays his best footy as that 2nd or 3rd tall, the transition between Riewoldt retiring and Paddy coming into his own was always going to be tough but it also doesn't help that Bruce is out injured and our players are missing targets by 10 metres or trying to hit the roof of Etihad Stadium every time they kick inside 50.

No doubt he benefits when the tall forwards do well around him, as he is a mid sized forward, who is a very good mark one on one, but is never going to be a pack marking forward. he is also most likely hindered by his knee, and so appears to be down on his leading. He is also a smart footballer who is never going to rack up huge possession numbers, but hopefully be effective with what possessions he does get.

He will be fine in due course

I remember John Anthony from Collingwood kicked 75.34 in two years. Kicked 8 goals more for his career. One year later he was traded, two years after that he was delisted. He was a similar player to Membrey - mid size marking player who was a good shot at goal.
