Ok i am as big a Geelong fan as anyone here and i had all the decorations happening at work, my car and home in the finals.

But i am still seeing people driving around Geelong with those pissy little flags coming out their car windows.

They were great for a while but it is now nearly a month since the GF and i think it is time to stop.

It's like Xmas trees, you have to take them down soon after or you look stupid.

Please remove the little flags, it's time.

Took ours down a couple of weeks ago, but there is no problem with them, people actually showing they support the club (or went to the family day and got freebies).

My old man took a heap back to WA and he rang me asking to find him more, I think they are cheap shit and fray easy, But if your only going around town and dont get over 100kms im sure they would last awhile, But i say let people be proud, let the flags stay up for the rest of time IMO.

I see them as another way of just showing support for Geelong, like a membership sticker, so who cares if people are still flying them.

I did take mine down on the weekend, but only because I cleaned my car for the first time in a year or so...

I pegged my Geelong Membership Playing cards to my bike. Now it goes faster and makes a really cool noise! :thumbsu:

(Am I starting to sound like Healy...?):D
Yes. :p

Let people have the flags I say. So what??

Btw. Ever since I put the premier bumper sticker on my car (above my 'Members 07' sticker), I have been getting much more aggro directed towards me on the road. Coincidence or not?? :D

Looked at your location and figured out why that would be the case.

Question is, would you be game to do it in Adelaide? Probably have to pay more for insurance if you have opposition teams stickers on your car.

Yeah, plus I drive to work that is located in an area that is mostly Collingwood supporters, I believe.

I just politely nod, smile and give them the finger. :):thumbsu:

In reference to your edit no i would NOT be game. Im scared even to go over to AAMI to watch one game of footy.

Not too bad, although when I went over for the NAB Cup GF last year some feral kept repeating the line "Haven't won for ... choke in finals etc." got very boring. I think she needed a friend.

I cannot understand why the Geelong City Council can constantly waste money (Mercer St. re-work re-work) has not managed to spend some money wisely on a giant sign as you enter Geelong reminding people that they are entering the home of the AFL premiership.
