Mackay doesn't have one vote???

Aside from playing like a goose, what exactly is Dmac's role?

He seems to lack the pace and elite disposal to give us outside run.
Not big or hard enough to play inside.
Can't kick a goal, can't play him up forward or down back.

I'm confused. o_O

We need Hampton to have a big fortnight in the SANFL to leapfrog Mackay and Henderson and claim the 3rd outside mid/flanker role (I just don't know that Milera is quite ready for AFL finals intensity despite being a future gun)

His role is to fill the quota of "experienced" players on the field

He is his own decoy runner

All of this to try and prove what we've all (or most of us) have known for a long time now...

That Mackay is garbage.

Sheesh

Maybe we have to squint our eyes to understand all this....

We need the answer as to why they keep picking him.....There has to be something.....Something we all (bar WW) are missing

Its the four year deal, the guys who had input into that deal are on the selection committee, they have egos.

In a close call of players of course their thinking would be skewed into picking the guy with a 4 year deal over a guy in his first or second season.

Mackay (at the most generous) is a pick 19 - 23 player so he gets the benefit of the doubt due to his ridiculous contract.

If Mackay was on his last year of his contract he would be dropped a lot easier.

MacKay's absolute best is only mediocre which is demonstrated by him not getting a single vote from the coaches. A team is only as good as their weakest link, and MacKay too often is that weak link and for that reason he is quite rightly the focus of criticism.

We need to be dangerous across every line across the ground. At present I think when the opposition see Mackay, they wouldn't even think twice. Douglas is approaching this territory too.
