Roast Memo to Pyke: time to put a line through DMac and VB

So zero coaches votes for the year and one Brownlow vote for his career. What is his highest finish in the best and fairest?

He's never finished top 10 in his career

Take last year for example and his per game votes were appalling

He received 0 votes from or 2 finals, and to put that into context: 19 players got a vote from the elimination final against the doggies.

19 players got at least 1 vote, DMAC was not one of them.

In the 2nd half of last year, from round 10 onwards
Played 11 games
Polled votes in 3 games, for a total of 5 votes

5 votes from 11 games.

5 coaches giving votes on a 1-5 scale. Maximum is 25 votes per game.

Dangerfield for example won with a total of 315 votes

DMAC tallied 5 votes total from the last 11 games of the season. 5!

0.45 votes per game.

In 8 of 11 games from round 10 not one coach out of 5 thought he had even won his position

So non-statistical even the coaches can't see it!! :D

If Mackay is the weakest player wouldnt he be on the bench with the occaional run?

Did you post this from an Amstrad 286?

.......anymore.

But it is an interesting discussion. Why the hell do we have to keep debating this.....whilst he continues to runout in the seniors?

Would love someone to pin a coaching panel member about this.

Both of your posts highlight the most frustrating part of it all - the coaches, by their voting, are stating that he isn't good enough, and shouldn't be in the side.

His selection really is non sensical - their own votes prove it.

Someone send this stuff into AA next time they have Noble or Pyke in.

Just cause I'm on a roll:

From round 10 last year

CEY played 4 games: 4 B&F votes
DMAC played 12 games: 5 B&F votes
Wright played 7 games: 20 B&F votes

If the coaches don't rate him, then there is only 1 question left

Who does he have naked pictures with a goat of? :p

On this, one more worth looking at:

Henderson was out for 8 weeks mid season last year

He came back in round 15 playing the last 11 games

Naturally we would expect him to take a little longer to find his feet after such a long layoff compared to someone playing through

Even still

CEY played 4 games: 4 B&F votes
DMAC played 11 games: 5 B&F votes
Wright played 7 games: 20 B&F votes
Hendo played 11 games: 97 B&F votes

From the 1/2 way mark of 2015, both DMAC & Hendo played 11 games each

5 B&F votes vs 97!!!

Ninety seven vs five

* me, and some still use the argument that he has the coaches backing :p :D

I think the bit we don't get is the fact we do have players sitting in the SANFL to replace him.

I'd like to see the list of players he is/has kept out of the team. It's incredible. If he is ever out of the team - by some miracle - he leap frogs all contenders when he returns? Why?

That's the most frustrating thing regarding his continued selection. We've never given a decent crack to another player to see what they can provide. Or to mix up the structure/roles to go without his elite speed, run, carry and kick. Lyons is a perfect example of what should have happened earlier than this year. Brodie Martin was a much better footballer when given the chance.

This comment explains a lot about your opinions, the bench isn't used like that and hasn't been used like that since the 90's.

Maybe some teams in the SANFL still use the bench like this and that is why you are confused.

I love a good Mackay analysis but he was sub against Doggies and didn't he only play a quarter?
