Both of your posts highlight the most frustrating part of it all - the coaches, by their voting, are stating that he isn't good enough, and shouldn't be in the side.

His selection really is non sensical - their own votes prove it.

Someone send this stuff into AA next time they have Noble or Pyke in.

Zac Dawson has had some decent games. No doubting his crappiness, but he's actually been able to influence the course of a match before.

He came back in round 15 playing the last 11 games

Naturally we would expect him to take a little longer to find his feet after such a long layoff compared to someone playing through

That's the most frustrating thing regarding his continued selection. We've never given a decent crack to another player to see what they can provide. Or to mix up the structure/roles to go without his elite speed, run, carry and kick. Lyons is a perfect example of what should have happened earlier than this year. Brodie Martin was a much better footballer when given the chance.

This comment explains a lot about your opinions, the bench isn't used like that and hasn't been used like that since the 90's.

Maybe some teams in the SANFL still use the bench like this and that is why you are confused.
