Memorabilia Question

Hey folks, sorry for the intrusion and clogging up your board with another thread, just couldn't figure out where else to post my question.

I came into possession of this football a while ago (year unknown), at first I didn't know what club it even belonged to, but I'm pretty sure it's Essendon because of this - (it could very well not be Essendon, but I fail to see how this is not Angus Monfries).



I thought it was maybe 2009, but I really don't know. I've looked at team lists from the 2009 and 2011 seasons, but I'm not having much luck. It's definitely not from any time after 2011.

I've taken some pictures of ones with easy to make out names and numbers, but I can't seem to make any links. Any help identifying these signatures is appreciated. Just trying to work out what year it's from.

Would you agree about the Monfires signature though?

I know within the last 5-10 years I had an Essendon signed footy and a Richmond one, but the Monfries signature is probably the clearest of the bunch.

It's 2005. Paul Thomas was number 17 in 2005, he only played the one year. Number 11 "Jamie" is "David" Zaharakis. Jobe Watson is "JobeW.."

I just wasn't sure of what year I got the ball in. I thought it was 09, which would've meant Lonergan, but I'm thinking it was earlier now.

I think you've nailed it. I can see the David now that you mention it.

Good point. Where did the ball come from jjsmitty8 ? Maybe they were collected over a period of years including '05. That number 11 sig is definitely a David Z though. Well. I looked again and I'm just gonna concede the point. Yes Boncer, it's Peverill. And it's 2005.

I've got his signature on a jumper aroind here somewhere. Its missing the n on the end to. Plus thats a e next to the letter in the last name.

Just to throw a spanner in the works. Looking at the 2005 list you provided, Essendon didn't have a number 32 or 35 for that season and they're on the ball (unless of course that's not a number 32 or 35 lol).

I found him in the 2006 list but wikipedia says he was drafted in 04 and had OP in 2005 and didn't play a single game, so that would explain his absence from the AFL tables list. The 35 in 2006 was Ben Jolley, which doesn't look anything like your 35 there. Essendon had a list of past #35s on their website and I can't see any on there that look right either, unless it's not a 35.
