I think everyone's taken this as a cue for good memorable moments, anyone have any bad ones?
2003 prelim final vs brisbane last 1/4 always kills me a little inside i cried o the way back from that game after coming from behind to be vertually levil just to get bashed wasn't pleasent.

2006 will always be a mental scar i refused to talk for 3 days afterwards

only in hindsight really; a certain paul kelly kick in the 96 GF. it was the turning point of that game wasn't it? if it hits lockett on the chest we could have been lining up to take the lead out over 5 goals IIRC, as it was it dropped short and literally 15 seconds later nth melbourne score a goal up the other end, we never recovered. nth melbourne dominate from then on to take out the flag

Approximately 4.30pm, Saturday - September 30, 2006. :(
Definitely that one.

Also the match back in 2007, Round 4 against Adelaide. We butchered the ball and I was fuming... on the Sydney Board, after that match, everyone was exploding. Glad to say the traffic on the Sydney Board was running high that night :thumbsu:

oh god, yes, i remember that
and i felt the same ... had the kick hit lockett on the chest, as it should have, he goals and we're well away
it didn't, the roos rebounded, and the momentum turned around and killed us
and the worst thing about it was that it was kel

yup. i don;t think i've ever seen a bigger shift in momentum like there was in that game, period. We went from absolutely dominating them to crawling into a shell within that 15 second spell, it was incredible. true, hard to knock a champ like kell, he was a great servant for the club for many years, but definately the biggest case of 'what if?' for me anyway. i've often wondered if the kick found lockett and he goaled, what would hve been the outcome of the game? the gap would have gotten bigger and we would have still had all the momentum.
