Welcome back to the Memorial Delonte West-Gloria James South Beach Cup for the 7th season!

As usual this is the deal...

•Dynasty League
•12 team
•Standard 9 Cats
•PG, SG, G, SF, PF, F, C, C, UTL, UTL + 5 Reserves
•No extra slot for Euro players (i.e. if you drafted LLull then he takes up a spot on your roster regardless if he plays NBA or not).
•One Long Term Injured Reserve spot after a player misses 15 consecutive games. You do this by posting a message in the yahoo league. For example.

You then drop the player to waivers but no one else can pick them up. If the player returns from injury to activate them you must drop a player and you can then pick up your injured player again. Once again you must notify the league i.e.

• In relation to the long term injury reserve slot there is a clause that prior to the start of any regular season that a team may place a player in the long term injury reserve slot, however if a player is sent to LTIR prior to the start of the regular season he MUST miss the first 15 games even if he becomes available prior.
• If a team has 2 players injured at the same time with long term injuries and one player is already occupying the teams LTIR slot and the player who is on the LTIR returns to active play first, if the manager wishes he can immediately place the other injured player on the LTIR and the games he has already missed will count to the 15 he must miss prior to being re-activated.
• For example; let's say I had Paul George on the LTIR and Monta Ellis was injured also, and George had missed his 15 games and was right to return, obviously i could I re-activate him. I could then place Ellis in the LTIR slot even if it was expected he would be back in a week and may only miss one more game as long as he'd already missed 14 games i'd be able to re-activate him after he missed that further game.

•Seperate rookie draft every year, single round rookie draft per year. The draft order of the bottom six is set at the end of the regular season.
•The draft order for the top 6 is also set at the end of the regular season except for the 2 Grand Finalists who will have the 11th and 12th picks. If you haven't been active though you get last pick in the first round.
•Guys not on team rosters can also be selected in the rookie draft also.
•You are allowed to trade draft picks only for the draft ahead (i.e. if we are in the 2016-2017 season you can only trade for the 2017 draft.).

Tanking and Absentia
If for whatever reason a manager does not set his team for an extended pariod of time as assessed by the commissioner a player may have their first round pick for the following year downgraded to the last pick in the frst round as punishment. If inactivity is ongoing, a manager may lose his team. This may be due to lack of activity or due to "tanking". Tanking is purposely not setting your team (or your best players) to lose each week.

Rookie draft will commence asap

League will not go live until after the rookie draft!

First game of the season is Wednesday the 18th of October.

Once everyone has confirmed if anyone doesn't have an issue I do not see a problem if managers want to begin trading players and picks prior to the rookie draft.

All trades to be posted on here obviously.

Any lopsided trades will be vetoed.

Any managers who wish to place players on the LTIR prior to the draft can do so. Any player placed on the LTIR must have a legitimate injury!

Let me know any players to be placed on the LTIR and I'll update the first post.

Also Bugsy has suggested to me, we look at altering the scoring by removing turnovers and replacing it with another cat.

He made a good point that in general the turnover cat rewards a possible tanking team and penalises high usage players.

I hate the turnover cat personally and hate having to consider resting one of my best players due to a possible high turnover count.

So I'll say it now the Turnover cat will be removed but we will discuss the replacement cat.

Two other cats that we could potentially replace TO's with are 2 pt %, 3pt % or FT's made.

My preference is FT's made.

I'm against the removal of T/O. It's one cat I didn't punt to get an advantage over other teams. Seems like teams who punted it just get a free pass now by not having to worry about it.

But I guess teams will just have to suck it up for the greater good of the league in the long run.
I would lean slightly to splitting the FG% to 2pt% and 3pt% but am happy to go with whatever gets the majority.
