I had 2 duffle coats Malcolm 15 Blight and Phil 8 Krakouer. Malcolm was misspelled as it didn't have the L in it. I was always a bad speller and the print shop just did what I told them. I also and a windcheater with Bruce 12 Abernethy on it. I think I got that spelling right with that one. I also had a footy jersey with no 7 on it which was Darren Steele.

I also wrote a letter to both Malcolm Blight and Ross Glendinning and got letters back from both of them when I was about 12. Just wish I had kept them. They were detailed replies as well not just a quick thank you type replies
The week that Blight was sacked and then kicked 11 goals was also the week Botham smashed the 149 in the amazing turn around Headingly ashes test match of 1981. (4 days later)It was quite the week in sport.

They were still a big fashion in the early 1980s as I had my Phil Krakouer one. Not sure when the duffle coats went out of fashion. I mean can you even buy one these days ?The duffle coats were brilliant. Only those who lived and went to the footy in the 60's and seventies know about this fashion icon
