Hardly his fault. So many countless spuds for Geelong are useless as tonight. The same old- Mackie, Lonegran, the usual. They won't go far thinking they'll be winning with Ablett.

He's a good player. But you think when we had Fyfe, Beale, Barlow, Mundy he was deserving of a game? Baring in mind we were winning most weeks during this period.

In 2012 he averaged 19 touches from 19 WAFL games.
In 2013 he played 2 WAFL games.
In 2014 he played 14 games averaged 19 touches.

Hardly banging down the door. Something clicked for him, injury free, new role maybe? But he is a role player not a star.

I think he has had as many games where he's been amongst the best on ground as he has had games where he's nearly been the worst on ground.

It's almost like that's the reason why he got delisted

Some people will never accept that we made a mistake in not reconsidering him after his huge year in 2015.

It's ok to admit that our club sometimes makes mistakes.

Menegola is starting in the centre square every week in a top 4 team. He's a good player, better than many in our starting 18. Pages and pages of desperately trying to defend our decision to delist him and then not reconsider him after huge improvement isn't fooling anyone.

Meh, he plays well and looks fantastic when they win and shite and goes missing when they lose.

I think we have plenty of those players.

Good luck to the bloke all the same.

He was embarrassingly bad on Friday, nearly everything he touched turned to poo like fumbles or hand balling to a Crows player, blowing a set shot 20m from goal (apart from kicking one nice goal in deep junktime). Just like he played in the Prelim he played the year before. You seen him play a handful of decent games and then jumped on the club stuffed up again derp derp wagon, but in reality he's pretty ordinary and plays games where he puts he put his favourite butcher's apron on.

If he was at Freo atm he would be inside the 22 but there is no doubt imo he would be one of the weekly whipping boys.

OK player but people going on about he's some 'big miss' are morons.

Didn't hear a peep out of you last week when he was close to BOG for Geelong.

Yeah he was great when it was all nice and easy with no pressure in a big win.

He just can't win with you can he.

He has a good game, it's because they won easy and no pressure. No credit.
If he has a bad game it's all his fault though.

Did you ever consider that part of the reason they won easily last week is because they won the midfield, of which Menegola was the major contributor? He was Geelong's best midfielder in a game where they destroyed what is supposedly one of the strongest midfields going around.

He was good in that game, yes. But he was rubbish in the QF v Richmond. And it was worse than a bad game in the PF v Adelaide, he was absolutely horrible (6 first half kicks, 5 clangers ffs). And was also terrible in last year's PF v Sydney as well.

Point is he is really isn't all that crash hot as you make out, but you want to keep going with the narrative that Freo were stupid (like Hawthorn) letting go a guy go that is now some gun player. But he actually isn't. Average footballer that had a decent season that plays in an area we actually have depth. But yeah let's just run with it being a massive blunder.
