Had surgery last Thursday - Meniscectomy. Without private health cost was approx $5,360. I did receive a Medicare rebate of $500 from the surgeon. The biggest expense was the operating room. Took only 40mins and didn’t feel or don’t feel much pain so no need for any medication. My knee does definitely feel like it had been operated on though - pretty stiff. Was able to walk straightaway with a slight limp. Walking is the only cardio I can do for a few weeks in addition to upper body weights.
