I want to see an improved shot selection and game plan from Dewald Brevis today. he has been getting out cheaply of late and some of his shot selection has been poor given game situation.

He is the sort of player that needs to be cashing in on 30+ scores on a regular basis , given South Africa have a relatively longish tail starting at 7 with Marco Jansen. Jansen is handy but is not a proper 7.

And for the rare game I saw with David Miller, he struggled in the back end smashing the Canadians the other day.

Afghanistan this is their Grand Final today, so naturally they will be up for it.

With Markrams early dismissal , I sense the ball may be coming onto the bat a bit slower than the previous game between South Africa and Canada.

Quinton de Kock looks like a changed man, since he has come back from international retirement. Sometimes think a break from cricket can do more good for others than one notices.

T20 cricket has become more and more like baseball in my opinion. South Africa batters would have seen alot of Rashid, Noor and Mujeeb in their domestic SA20.

Kind of think more than ever, T20 bowling attacks need to have an element of surprise to challenge teams.

Noor copping a pasting, 23 off his first over, that might be his last over for a while.

The Afghan spinners used to have an element of surprise but they are well known now from playing in domestic T20 comps.

pace is the way to go on this wicket, so wonder if they have a part time seamer who could surprise

Noor copping a pasting as well.

Pretty sure Farooqi too was playing in the SA20 this season. That would make it 4 bowlers who the SA batsman would have had a month out from the World Cup.

Now which Dewald Brevis will we see today? The one who comes out and recklessly swings and does no look shots, or some sort of innings where he has a few balls to look at before going off? Im a fan of the latter.

Well thats the champion that Rashid Khan is, just when you think you are on top of the innings he chimes in with 2 wickets in the over to bring Afghanistan back into the contest.

With 7 balls left of his spell, South Africa probably should look to see him off at least.
