Not many would think that a group with Sri Lanka and Australia would have Zimbabwe coming through it unbeaten.

I hope they go all the way.

They got screwed by the trap that was intended to screw the Australian team.

How do you figure that? The trap of using an identical format to the last edition of the tournament right down to the pre-tournament seedings based on world ICC rankings determining who is grouped with who, is designed to screw Australia?

You would have got long odds on Zimbabwe being undefeated and topping their group at the start of this tournament.

I still doubt whether they can make it into the semi finals but you wouldn't write them off in the form that they are in.

Knocking off both teams earmarked to proceed to the super eights is a great return for Zim cricket.

If Australia had got up against Sri Lanka, the table would look much more interesting going into the Oman match but oh well.
