He will be a risk for the rest of his career. Does that mean we never sign him up for a multiple year contract again? Other teams will bring the offers if he plays out next season. Why can't we put in a multiple year contract with a trigger clause for the second and third years if he plays a certain amount of games next year (which thus means he probably aint injured)?

Pretty much exactly my thoughts when i asked why only a one year contract.

Its not a reflection on him - its just he nature of the beast.

Although, I think Clay Smith just got a 2 year deal with the Doggies.

If Menz can make it thru 2017 with no issues ( and by that I mean being managed aside as I dont think he'll ever be 100% for a full season and that measn he miss a few - maybe 6 games a year) then id give him a 2 year deal as he'd be a UFA I think.

Im not sure he'd want to go anywhere else but a 2 year deal might separate us from the rest.

Should be a one club player for life.

Little OT but a great place to see show... but F me its expensive there....

I mean, I get that to say you saw Stones, U2, Genesis or who ever with 2000 other people is cool... but my last effort there was Billy Joel and face value was 850 for decent - not front row seats -

Now I didnt pay that but cmon people... that's insane.

Anyway, good to Menz getting away from it all in the appropriate time to get away and not having to spend summer rehabbing it.
