Endo's leg perhaps ?? Nah we want to beat them at full strength.

We scored 3 in the second half against Bunyodkor so why cant we do it again ?? A clean sheet is a MUST mind you, they score and its all over.
 
All we need is an early goal, get one in the first 15-20 minutes and then it makes it interesting.

And any 'fan' that has a ticket and doesn't go should be banned forever from Hindmarsh Stadium. :p

Even if we lose I definitely want to be there to congratulate the players on an absolutely incredible achievement and for giving me so much pleasure during what would have otherwise been very dull and laborious weeks this year. It's been awesome!

If Osaka do win I just hope most of the crowd stays, not only to give Adelaide United the respect and plaudits they deserve but also to congratulate Gamba Osaka on a great effort themselves. I have seen them play 5 matches in this campaign and they have all been good attacking football.

It's gonna be a huuuuge nite! I will be getting there when gates open to get prime seating ... then twiddle my thumbs for 2 hours.

Punchy we catching up for beers b4 the game?

The mrs is coming and she is wearing her Newcastle Jets top and she is going for Gamba. I love her hatred for opposition sides but damn she will ruin my night.

I will let you spill beer on her top :)

RoosterLad I don't normally get there especially early but I want to sit in the front row almost behind the goals for this one ... no Snake Pit for me 2moro nite!

Daniel Price, Newcastle's vomit coloured shirt is already by far the most hideous in the A-League, spilling glorious Carlsberg on it would only increase its appeal. If you really want 2 annoy her, maybe wear an Adrian Trinidad shirt ...

And I checked on the net and it said 17:30, so I'll probably meet mates there (or at a pub nearby) around that time.

Looking forward to the game tonight. If we can comeback from 3-0 it will be the greatest SA sporting performacne of all time. If not, will be a great atomosphere and should be an open and attacking game from start to finish.

Nah, "away goals count double" is a furphy.

They're only a tie breaker if scores are level. 6-2 would be enough.
 
Just got home from the game.

Great atmosphere to begin with. Being effectively down 6-0, with 0 chance of winning, it became quite a bore-fest though.

Ah well, cant beat free tickets :D

Well done United on matching it with some of the powerhouses of Asia. With a salary cap of 1.9 million, competing with clubs that pay 20+ million per year on players, it was an amazing effort which probably wont be beaten by an Australian team for a long long time.

And how bout the rest of the competition? or doesnt that count??? The truth is If someone said before this tournament started we would make the final they would be put in a looney bin

They have more funding then we ever could - we had to travel 40+ hrs in Business class and they did what - fly by private Jet everywhere. The J Leauge started 1993 and we in 1995 - thats 10 more years of tactal ability and devopment that we have. Oh and dont get me started on the FFA.....J - Leauge bent over backwards to help both Gamba and Urawa

A team that use to be the laughing stock of the a-leauge, players who have a combined salary less then most Asian stars and a second year coach against some of the most experianced coaches in football and WE made the final

Point to the scoreboard all you like but no amout of finals loss can undo what far reaching long term benefits this club and this code will reap

I couldnt be more proud of the club
 
Vidmar has had a shocking last few weeks, obviously the mental fatigue catching up.

Also, how did the J-League bend over backwards to help Gamba? They played last weekend.

Definitely deserved winners though.
 
Bit of a dispaointment.

But the boys plyed better than they did the week before, and definetly better than the Victory game. Saw tonight the difference between A League and an aggresive Asian team. Their skills are far more advanced than ours and they are certainly the best team I have seen in my limited time watching Soccer. I would say that team were the best to ever come to our city. Far better than any of the Asian teams I have seen play here in this campaign, yet are mid table in the J League at the moment.

To score would of been nice. Have not seen a replay, how offside was Christiano. I was in the Western stand in line with him and I thought it was, but I got one wrong earlier in the night.

On the whole though we did well and anyone who was too harsh in their disapointment needs to get a grip on reality.

Also just realised Adelaide United are now 11-0 in Grand Finals.
