I would like to talk about the merging and closure of threads.
I understand that sometimes multiple threads are created and this can pose problems, hence the merging of threads, but in some cases the 'new' thread takes a different angle on a topic.
I feel that sometimes the moderators are too quick in classifying a new thread as the same as previous ones. For example the new thread by Trade Draft which lists the positives and negatives of the new draftees. I think that he gave a lot of thought about it and I personally wanted to post in that thread.
Lumping many threads into one multi-thread with 100's of responses is not appealing at all. It is cumbersome and surely the unemployed are the only ones with time to read each and every post.
Please moderators can you hold off on closing and merging threads a little.
If somebody wants to start a thread about Luke Ball's left index finger, please let them.
I don't really enjoy coming back each day to find the same threads listed because others have been merged or closed.
Old threads become stale.
This is not a piss-take or troll or whatever, it is an honest straight foward opinion with the hope of a positive result.
Thanks.
Andy.
