There is no way we would pick up Jetta before Heyne, Suban, Redden, Roughhead, Milne..
There is no way we would pick up Strauss before Stanton, Shuey

I disagree with that mock draft being well thought out.

Maybe we should draft Cousins? He could be that A-Grade midfielder we need while our hopefully 'to-be A-Grade Midfielder'(Ziebell, Hartlett, Swift) we draft develops, hopefully that makes sense.

Can people answer me a question, can we play hooker as a key defender, or is he more a michael jonhson (frem) type, tall running rebounder, because, i feel, we arent that bad down back, with Pears:rolleyes:, Ryder and hopefully Hooker can fill key positions down back, we could then pick up a mid with our first pick, Ziebell, and Swift with our second pick, and still be able to pick up a tall back later in the draft, we, IMO, feel we need to draft a ruckmen also,

how come, he was coming along nicely this season, why do you make that point on Atkinson any way.

I rather him more as a loose defender, not a lock down defender, basically a HBF to be honest. But that said Atkinson to me is 50/50, I still have my doubts about him. I'll wait till 2009 to have a full judgement on him

IMO, he may become a sold defender, will be more a depth player than anything, has shown glimpses of something at times, but only at times,

Alex Silvagni

haven't heard much about him and just wanting to know whether he is going to be picked up in the draft and if he is, would he be worth going for if he is around with our second pick

bombersno1 you are almost bordering on spamming about how you want Hurley than Swift. Can you coherently write a sentence with neither of those names in it?

Daniel Rich FTW!!!11one1!

Ease up mate. She has a thorough knowledge on this year's potential draftees. Seen them countless times and is waiting for the championships before she makes a final decision on whom Essendon should choose:rolleyes::eek:

Btw regarding RIG's post above, if we were to snare a late first round pick for Lovett (our apparent asking price, with reports that there has been plenty of interest) then Swift could come into calculation.

I feel he is, had problems with his attited early on, and that is what may cost him a spot on an AFL list in his younger days, but has really turned that around with a dominant year in the VFL with the Casey Scorpions, i feel he would be an awesome pick up in the PSD, as he is a ready made FB, who is still relatively young, 20, has played on some of the big bodied forwards this year, and done a reasonable jon on them too, is reported that the Saints are looking at him very very closely as they train with the Scorpions once a month, so the St Kilda staff may have had their eye on him, which would not surprise me,

the Scorpions are on ABC1, in Victoria, for the VFL preliminary final V Weribee??, should be a cracker of a game, you will be able to see Alex and his other young Key back, team mate James Wall in Action, Wall is another who has the attributes to be a steady AFL player IMO, but never had the transition into the big time as he spent time on an AFL list at, Brisbane, I think, will have to get back to you on that one, but am certain he spent time on an AFL list though.

well, a serious injury though, that kept him outta TAC footy for a while their/ :thumbsu:

Actually Sellwods was not a full reco. It was a knee cartledge operation . Thats what kept him out for 3 months. The risk with him was (and still is) how long until he ends up with bone on bone in the knee.
