Inside source at Essendon? Knows Hurley personally? Knows a close relative of Hurley? A clue would help ease our curiousity RIG. Don't have to give the exact source away. I am curious because I want to know whether I should be hoping for Hurley to be available at our pick or for someone like Hartlett.

I wouldn't hope for one single player because you'll be disappointed if we don't select that player, just hope for a great selection whether it's Hurley, Hartlett or Ziebell.

Daniel Hannebery

This kid is a freak.

Has played for Oakleigh Chargers and Xavier College for much of the year, as well as Vic Metro. Minor injuries have kept him out of one or two games, but he has consistently been in the best, which was only accentuated by his BOG performance on Saturday in the first TAC final.

He has an inconceivably massive tank, and runs all day. Absolutely superb athlete, and his vision and skills match his athleticism. Overhead marking is exceptional for a smallish midfielder (I think he's about 6'0) and has a massive spring, often flying for big pack marks with guys 3 inches taller than him.

Additionally, he is an underage player who is eligible for this years draft, and although his dad played (collingwood?) he is not eligible for Father Son. IMO he will definately go top 10 next year, so can we pleaaaaaaaaase get him cheaply while we can? Cannot place enough emphasis on this, especially with the Gold Coast dominating the next few drafts.

To me he is perfect for Essendon, and would be just the highly skilled midfielder we need (imagine a guy with Stanton's tank who can actually kick and mark). Thoughts?

Was at Murray vs Eastern today. Ziebell stood out alot. PLayed predominately at full forward, but also had stints in the midfield with great effect and winning clearances. Kicked 3 or 4 goals for the day but had enough of it to of kick 5 or 6. Busted through a few packs with strength. Still not sure as to whether we get this bloke or Hurley. It's a win-win situation so im happy.
