would of thought vickery is a better long term forward prospect than hurley also. i may be a tad bias coz i really want hurley, but i can't see port taking him.

ive heard mixed reports from hurley, my decision would be based on his draft camp results. i heard he went under 3 seconds, then just over three seconds now im hearing he ran 3.11 which pretty much wont be good enough to play on most forwards nowadays.

if he did indeed run 3.11 then i really hope the club doesnt pick him up, would seem identical to mal imo, is a good disposer of the ball very strong, reads the play well but just simply cant keep up with 90% of the forwards in the game.

the focus in todays game on speed and how easy the rules are making it for forwards i just cant see a defender with that level of acceleration being able to compete with the best forwards.

What do people think about Luke Stanton? Will he possibly be around to rookie list? Assuming we go with 3 ND picks and a PSD pick, i have heard a few people say we could get someone better at 55 than him, but from what i've seen of him i definately wouldn't mind him. However, that is only from the little i have seen, do people rate him a chance at 55, if not, could he slip to a rookie pick, or should we just not go after him at all?

I'd rather pick a project tall at 55 that is for sure
Tom Hill for mine.

Ziebell
Swift
Prismall
Hill

That'd keep the tissue flow at home busy.

Still very uncertain on whom we should take with Pick 5. There are compelling arguments for a gun midfielder or KPP. With Hurley's time seemingly very slow I have gone off him a fair bit. Hartlett seems to have dropped off for whatever reason and apparently we did not bother to speak to him. Trengrove would be a massive risk at 5. Perhaps if we pick up Hurley he will become a CHF and Gumbleton would go to the backline.

I'd rather Hartlett over Ziebell. I would not worry whether we have spoken to him, as ant said last week, half our draftees do not get spoken to. Love Swift at 23, doubt it will happen though.
Can't imagine why we wouldn't bother to speak to our 1st rounder. The later picks I can understand but not one of the top draftees.
Swift is doubtful but there should be a slider at this stage for us to happily snare. Hope it is Yarren or Lisle.

For anyone who has seen Jayden Post play more than a couple of time, would it be a stretch to take Hartlett at 5 and then Post at 23??

Windas_Magic, Thanks for the Jayden Post Highlights link

If we get Hartlett with Pick 5, and Hurley, Trengrove and Lisle are gone by pick 23, we could certainly consider taking him.

How impressive is his contested marking ability...and got pace and confidence to take on players. And got a big kick on him.

Amazing what a 3 minute youtube video can do isn't it? ;)

It's interesting, Post at pick 23, he'd probably the best potential KPB available but i would have thought taking him at that pick would be a little stretch but it depends on what plan the recruiters take into the draft. I see him going somewhere between pick 27 to the Roos and the Blues pick 40. Seen him play a few times and he reads the play very very well. Very athletic and plays a very similar style to Jarrad Waite down back. Dynamic contested mark, took 55 in the TAC Cup competition, one thing i'm not to sure of is his one-on-one ability though. Haven't seen him enough to assess this but from how well he reads the play, would think he would be able to adapt pretty well.

Would probably be a strecth to get him at 23 but without a third round pick i would be taking the gamble to get him there if Trengove or Lisle where not avialable which is likely to be the case.

Just did my FULL phantom draft with about 2 paragraphs on each player up until the the end of round 3 and it was gonski just after 2 1/4 hours. :(

Had a link on the side of my thread which I was making which I used to read BF whilst I was typing my phantom (BF on both links), then click ok to post thread and then it said I signed in already before which I did because I spent too long typing it and my username already logged off automatically on the first link. :(

So I was logged on in one link and off on another and the final result anyway was that it got cleared. Took me bloody ages so I will try and find time during the weekend or I might have to do it sometime next week.

Now that we essentially dont have to give up anything for Ryan O'Keefe, and should he nominate for the PSD, Would we be 1. Interested in getting him, 2. Him being interested in us, 3. How would this effect our clubs results? Would it bring us into contention of top 8 / top 4 etc?

if we are to get our full strength line-up on the field for the majority of the season next year, we will make the 8 with or without O'Keefe
