i anwsered this above he cant be blamed as the coaches dont play a big role when drafting kids. He has been considered to pick some good late picks such as A.Davey and B.Houli and J.hird. Many more but we may need to change our whole system and look alot harder and get some more knowledge on the WA kids who dominate.

Number 33 pick - T.Swift
number 49 pick - N.Jetta
number 65 pick - C.Garlett

First off, It's May for god sake!
Second, Like 50% of our players taken in the last two drafts have been from WA. Gumby,Jetta,Remiers,Myers,Pears and Hooker off the top of my head
Third, Sheeds did play a big role in our drafting
Fourth, Say no to Cousins...

If nothing chages we will continue to be a bottom 4 side i cant believe the media hasnt jumped on us yet as we have been down on the bottom of the ladder for 5 years in a row. We have drafted badly and our new coach isnt teaching the kids the right things.

You have to admit that some of our young guns havnt giving us much yet.
Ryder cant wait to see how good he is when we play the hawks and he plays on buddy if he gets 5 or more goals kicked on him he hasnt developed quick enough but i can see him getting 8 -10 kicked on him and buddy is only 20 years old.

i think anyone who's played under 15 games HAS to be exempt from being labelled a dud...or a gun (did someone say dempsey?)

and on the whole sheedy thing...let's not forget camporeale, murphy, allen, re draft allessio for 1 year, salmon, bla bla bla, and this list goes on.

Sheedy did have a big say in drafting from what i understand, was terrible at it, and left us in a really shit position.

But let's move on...i think there's a lot of talent on the list, but still 35 games away from knowing how much.

It is near on impossible to have success when you are physically weaker than every side you play against.

3 seasons, 4 now. The old coach wasn't that much better nowadays.

Buddy is 21. Paddy is 20. Paddy has also only been a backman for what, 2 seasons now? Yes some of our young guns haven't progressed as much as we would of hoped. But our midfield has an average of what, 20, 21. What do you expect? The most important part of the team is carried by youngsters.

50% of our list are under 22, of course we were gonna struggle this season. 19 people had played under 25 games at the start of the season. Only 21 had played over 25...

Exactly we are young. We need to get some games into our players. By the end of 2009 Myers, Jetta, etc will have 40-50 games under their belt.

Not seeing any positive results? Really? You'd have to be blind not to take anything positive out of the last five years. How about a spine of Pears, Ryder, Gumbleton, Neagle? No? Houli, Stanton, Monfries, Davey, Jetta, Dempsey, Hislop, Lonergan, Lovett and others in the middle? No?

So if Franklin kicks five from free kicks which Fletcher gives away, Ryder has failed. Or if he kicks 5 from 70 inside fifties, Ryder has failed, even if he spoils, or marks, 20.

you are spot on, but let me tell you most the blokes you have mentioned are still playing and are the success story... Its the ones you havent mentioned are the ones that are the shockers. I mentioned on another forum two weeks ago that drafting is what has hurt the bombers and little else. But I was shot down by a few of your regulars. Go back to when you were the best team in the country in 2000. Have a look who you have drafted and traded for since.. That tells the story... Not a troll

I know I've posted a few stupid things lately but I'm working on it, I know now not to post things when I'm Drunk!

Stupid things like posting our draft predictions and saying all our players are shit just really pisses me off, FFS November is 6 months away and mathematically we can still make the 8. As for all our players been shit, its all just plain bullshit cause Round One proved all our players can play Fantastic football.

Regardless of whether a player is injured plagued or not, if they've done FA they've done FA, Gumby, Dempsey have done FA. 2 first round picks from 2 and 3 years ago have done nothing... not their fault but they've still given us nothing. It's our high performance "guru" that should be sacked! No doubt about it!
