No, I watched it on Foxtel.

I'm with you on Rich and while he is a great talent, he can be lazy and appears as if he can't be bothered and gives up.

He should get over the tag thing but the best way to beat a tag is hard work.

I think things have been a little bit too easy for him up until this year and last years champs are a perfect example of him running around free doing as he liked.

He should be a very good player and that kick of his is a rippa but we won't get him, so i don't worry about him much.

From what i saw today, i wouldn't be suprised if there were a few gobsmacked BF "experts" after the top 20 is called out draft day.

Then again, i have barely seen the kids this year, so am probably a bad one to make a judgment.

We'll Ive followed him very closely since his efforts in Subi's Grand final win last year and I think he may have gotten a touch ahead of himself.

I still think he's a top 5-10 pick but he hasnt set the world on fire since last year.

I also know for a fact that he has been playing for the Subi league side simply because it will better his draft spot, not because his form has warranted selection.

It will be interesting to see how he develops and where he goes, as you said that kick is Hodge-like. So damaging.

I reckon he will still be plucked in the top 5 but he really needs someone to get in his ear and tell him to pick up his work rate. :thumbsu:

Did you go the game?

It seemed to me that both sides decided there would be no tags in the first half?

And this is what frustrates me about Rich. All tournament he hasnt been able to get over the tag, then in the first half where there are no visible tags he picks up 17 possesions.

When both sides start tagging key players in the second half he goes missing.

Im not sold on him, not by a long shot :thumbsu:

To be fair, he's still developing as a player, and won't cop a tag every week next year, wherever he ends up.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned Zaharakis. I thought he looked really good, he's more of an outside midfielder but he has great pace and can finish off well.

I wasn't overly impressed with DeBoer, looks more like a second rounder and i can't see what all the hype is about.

Yarren looked good when he was in the play but wasn't there long enough, he's not someone i would go for with our first pick. Looks like a player who would struggle with consistency, exhilarating one minute but then unnoticeable the next.

Also thought Blease looked really good at some stages along with Banner.

Yeah I thought Zaharakis was very good. Few players actuall speed up when kicking at goal on the run.

Wouldnt say he is totally outside, but he was very impressive. :thumbsu:

Good summary WM and Zaharakis was one of the better performers for the day and i probably would have given him BOG.

His disposal is immaculate.

Blease looked quality to me but didn't seem to spend much time on the ground.

Can someone who was there guess how much game time he played please?

I seriously think Pearce will be a first or second round pick as will Walters, both of whom should go before DeBoer. :thumbsu:

I guess after today, my preference for our first pick this year is....(realistically)

1. Hamish Hartlett
2. Michael Hurley
3. Chris Yarran

Good point because every single aboriginal player plays exactly the same so we can't have more than three right? You're an idiot if you think Lovett and Davey are playing the same role.

go and have a look at the tapes. both play a forward or wing role, running the lines. Davey is their for forward pressure, Lovett is spose to be doing that too, he is lazy at times these days, expects it to come to him. We do not need Yarren, Midfielders sound familiar, gee a couple with skill might be good, a genuine mid, not a forward who can rotate through the middle,

I was rushing the last few, and between 5-8 the order's pretty interchangeable. I probably forgot someone as well, but apart from that, it's pretty good.:D

I havn't seen any of these kids play but I believe we need another KPD and a speedy, classy mid so based on what I believe our needs are and from what I've read I would like Hurley with our 1st pick and then DeBoer, Walters, Hill, Zaharakis or Robinson with our 2nd pick or alternatively Hartlett 1st and look for a KPD with our 2nd pick, were there any FB's likely to go around our 2nd pick who impressed today? :)

Jordan Lisle, seemed to impress when the ball came down, may still be around when our 2nd pick comes, if so, wouldnt mind him, seems ok,

We say we need a key defender, i have mentioned him once or twice but what about AlexSilvagni, has played on some key forwards in the VFL and performed strongly. with a full time workout regime would be able to bulk up to his already solid frame. any thoughts. Apparently St.Kilda were pretty keen for him, what if we were to snare him. that way we could pick up Hartlett or Ziebell with our first pick, thoughts.

I'd like A'Vard from NSW on the rookie list. He was impressive today, although not at an incredibly high standard. He's one to keep an eye on.

Remember, that of the 4 best full backs atm (Scarlett, Fletcher, Rutten, Glass) 2 have gone F/S and 2 rookie list. It is very possible to get an elite full back for very little.
