Is that Harlequin reference because the there is a rugby union and league team in the UK that use checkers on their strips.

Well, harlequins are old fashioned clowns, like jesters. They wear multicoloured diamond patterns. You can see on the Harlequin FC (who incidentley are one of the only other professional sporting sides who wear brown) logo, there is a dancing clown figure in diamonds, holding what looks like a sword.

Yes, I think it would be a very interesting idea if you included this moniker in your concept, with a logo and clash strip. But it's too late now unfortunately.

Yeh I noticed the clown/jester on their Wiki page.
