I would not barrack for them. I hate Carlton with a passion and if i were to barrack for them id probably shoot myself.

"we are, the kangaroos. The all/old(?), dark, kangaroos." Doesn't sound too bad. Wouldn't like a merger with Carlton, the only team I could handle merging with is the Dogs, because we're in pretty much similar situations. That said, the financial benefits wouldn't be as large if we went that way.

I dunno about 45 000 members, put it this way mergers dont go down well with members.
Carlton currently have around 30-33 000 members, the Roos around 22-25 000 right.
In theory they could have 50 000+, but in reality 50% of members drop off if a merger would go ahead.
In reality you's have just around 30 000 members, would members of the 2 clubs support a new club after playing as seperate identities for years.

I was all for the Fitzroy merger when it happened as were basically taking them over and we would have had so many benefits from it. This is a different kettle of fish. Carlton are hated by all who barrack for North, I do have some sort of soft spot as the family barracks for them but love beating them more than any other club. I think had this been the Dogs, Hawthorn or even Melbourne you would almost definately say yes, but it's so difficult with a club like them. I'd probably just vote no simply because it is them.
As for the 8 players:

Maybe throw in Morrell and Teague for a bit of a laugh.
