As some of you may know today is International Women's Day so I thought I'd start a thread just to say Merry International Women's Day to all the female posters on the Essendon board. I don't think we had that many when I first started posting here but 10 years later I think we have at least 6 I can think of and they are all great contributors when they're here, down to earth and generally fun to have around just like almost everybody else.
I would certainly like to think ours is a board that women feel comfortable to post on given the predominantly male oriented nature of a football forum in general. Hopefully when we finally get an AFLW team we will see even more women joining in the conversation which can only be a good thing.
So to all of you I say thanks for being a part of it.
