I have gotten a couple of emails from the club lately... but neither of them are concerning the renewal of my old membership... I think that I will have to give the club another call tonight and give them a roust about it.

No membership department issues any longer - we have a 5 Year plan. :thumbsu:
 
i hate fluff like this. absolute shit. when has this stuff never been sought? it's taking the bleeding obvious and feeding it to the public in mixture of business-speak and tony robbins seminars. it's insulting. listing how amazing and integrity-filled your organization is, as a barely concealed grab at your money is hilarious at any time, including this one.

unsubstantiated hype is money in the bank. no passengers, bla bla bla. might be time to ditch the elite, proud and aloft stuff. i read this and it makes the collingwood ad look good, collingwood notwithstanding.

aren't you meant to be offering something constructive to the debate?? it was harsh but it had more of that than what you've just said.

i think it's a terrible marketing exercise. i could say something along the lines of, i already supported the club so didn't need to see a marketing plan... clearly that is some impressive dedication i have? am i not a better supporter because i don't need to read this to support the CFC?

i was referring to the collingwood kinship they have going. a premiership helps their numbers, but the concepts in that ad resonate with me more than anything carlton has come up with this year. 'no passengers' seemed to be a bit of a stab at it but even then it was still delivered with much of the pointless/nonsense drivel seen in the blueprint.

maybe there's copyright problems, but i reckon my 'blues brothers' idea shits all over 'no passengers', navy is an attitude, etc etc.

lastly, i doubt sticks wrote much of this at all... it's symbolic as it is dishonest. i have no qualms about aims for premierships. carefully crafted public correspondence, speech-writers for sticks? this side of football really makes me sick. not exactly grass roots stuff is it?
