It’s very tool. Can’t wait to hear what the rest of the album sounds like. Pretty much all the songs are over 10 mins long.

13 years... what's a few more days.Damn and i have to wait to the 30th.
Apparently yes. He’s doing a second night. I love a bit of “headless children” era WASP, but not enough to see just one of the ex members. Anyone going to see Ross the boss?Isn't the Bendigo bandroom a tad small for someone of Marty's rep? I thought he'd be doing somewhere like the Croxton at the very least? I mean, it's fantastic for the Bendigo and everyone there will be close to the action and that's what matters. But the numbers, man!
Big weekend for the 'Go. Just checking their website Chris Holmes (ex WASP) is playing the very next night. I've checked out some of his stuff on youtube - he seems a bit too washed-up these days to be fair. Dunno how that gig would pan out.
It’s amazing, have bought the Cd off their website so probably won’t get it until October. But have listened to the download you get when you buy it. It’s great. I didn’t get into 10,000 days, but I’m digging this.7empest is orgasmic.
Love the entire album.
I’m feeling the same way. It just doesn’t grab me, despite being a technical masterpiece. The songs build, but just never peak. You just keep waiting for it, but it never comes.Tools new album is awful. Only the first 6 minutes of descending is worth repeat listens. Maynard barely sings on thisalbum. He is what makes tool awesome. Without him its just more progressive instrumental work. Decent but not spectacular.
My favourite band has finally produced a dud album.
Haha, I felt exactly the same. Waiting for it to build up to something but it doesn't happen.I’m feeling the same way. It just doesn’t grab me, despite being a technical masterpiece. The songs build, but just never peak. You just keep waiting for it, but it never comes.
And im a massive tool fan. Musically it’s epically complex though. But it just tries too hard, and is complex just for the sake of it. And yeah the vocals are just weird too. Too different from previous albums, with lyrics that are repetative and odd.
It really isnt. Ok for the first 5 minutes (not great just ok) but then goes absolutely no where. No peak no nothing.Wowee 7empest is ridiculously good
Had it on the other day for a bit. They played Megadeth, Anthrax and Pantera all in a row. Can definitely live with that. Especially for the radio.Anyone listened to the triple m hard and heavy station? It’s actually not a bad mix of songs. Bit too much hair metal but it’s a reasonable variety. It’s still mostly radio friendly, you aren’t really going to hear much brutal death or black metal, but it beats the pop garbage you hear on anything else.
It’s good for metallica, tool, megadeath, sabbath, soundgarden, motley crue, dio, maiden, anthrax etc.
