what is the come down like? is it like pills or LSD which can cause a real flat spot two or three days later?
I have probably 8-10 times in the past 18 months.

I way prefer coke and mdma, and have only gone out of my way to buy it once because a friend wanted to try it.

I prefer the meth come down to mdma, by a long long way.

Why's that? In terms of the comedown.

On another note- I've noticed from speaking to the old mans mates who are all very conservative actually support decriminalisation/legalisation of drugs.

I think government attitudes to drug policy are miles behind society these days Today's old people grew up in the sixties and seventies ffs so they're not exactly the innocents that their parents's generation were and for the most part they realise the difference between various drugs and realise that a bit of pot or a pill are a totally different kettle of fish to being a full blown addict.

One of the blokes is still the "anyone who takes drugs is weak and an idiot" but still believes they should be decriminalised.

how much meth is required before you start to get the visual side effects of meth? ie the horrible skin and teeth
I always thought that was related to sleep deprivation

I don't know much about meth but I would have guessed the teeth was a combination of grinding and the chemicals. Whilst the skin was a combination of scratching and the normal break down of organ tissue related to poor health.

Yeah I read visual side effects as hallucinations.

a few years imo...

I have friends who smoked hard (every weekend) for a year or so and they look fine.

but i have a mate whos smoked it since we were 19 and we are 27 now.. and he looks 37. his teeth are fine tho, you just have to make sure you cover your teeth with your lips when inhaling to limit direct contact wit your teeth..

that'll save you teeth but what about your lungs? no problems with cancers etc?

Had the black sheep of the family stay at my joint for three nights over Xmas, a cousin from WA. Meth has wrecked him as a functioning member of family and society.

He can't be in a room with real life adult people for longer than half an hour before heading off for a nap. A few hours later he'll come back in and crack a few jokes before heading off for another nap.

Tweaky, eyes rolling around in his head.

Forty-three going on fourteen and a massive waste of oxygen.

well they say you shouldn't inhale it too deep in your lungs because, obviously, its extremely toxic and if it sticks to your lungs too long youre done..

but im a bong smoker so whenever I smoked it i couldn't help but breathe it deep like a bong... I used to spit out black and grey balls of god knows what for like 3 years after i smoked it. pretty brutal, but lungs can come good if you don't smoke for a few years.

at the end of the day, any smoke in your lungs is unnatural, humans weren't built to inhale toxic smoke be it meth, weed, tobacco.. so yeah there's a chance you can get lung cancer (and mouth).

he has no good mates in WA to help him get away from it?

WA is shocking for meth heads tbh

this is sad to hear. life is meant to be enjoyed but the cost of enjoying it too much can be great for too many.

Further from my comment about Government policy lagging the public mood, a good piece in today's Graund.

it is a health and social issue but the mechanism of legal is necessary. However I think our politicians and possibly even the courts have forgotten why the legal mechanism exists.

It should not be for the purpose recording convictions but rather a mechanism to deal with unsavoury situations where a person is out of control, refusing rehab, medical treatment or other positive options. Sometimes a circuit breaker is required and in the absence of a better option, the legal aspect is required.

Proper application needs police discretion as well as the courts, as the legal mechanism is probably not appropriate 50% of the time. I wonder if Ben Cousins would be the Zombie he is today, if there was better intervention in those early days.
