My brother played with Ben Beams when he was captain of Tasmania when they were in the VFL. Beams was a gun.

Tassie had a bloody good side. Plenty of AFL talent.

Just off the top of my head; Jack Riewoldt , Trent Bartlett, Beams, Ian Callinan (got drafted late by the crows after lighting the VFL up, unbelivable talent, just small, absolute gun tho) and Luke Shackleton (epic Collingwood bust)

OP rules state “debuted for the club” so I am assuming this is fine. Melbourne debut has to be post 1990, not necessarily footy debut
 
There's a bloke who once kicked 6 in a game that hasn't been called out (he played the next week, barely got a touch and was never sighted again at AFL level...would never happen these days, that's for sure).

I know one of them - very wet night and never has a team from our position on the ladder at the time beaten another team so high up the ladder

He said 'at the time' so in round 1 there's no ladder positions.

I think against Essendon in 2012 we were 18th and they were 2nd. They fell apart after that and missed the finals.
