MGS by a mile. Down at the worst ground in APS history, MGS with Ellis and the Hawk should dominate.

Tarrant is a hack.

what did those who saw the X.C v Grammar game think of the slog, wasn't any standout performances but i would be interested to hear others thoughts

Both teams played well, Xavier were to good at ground level tho. Quick pickups and deliverys that made the game exciting to watch. THere was only a small margin throughout the game on the scoreboards but with Xavier kicking the first goal to give them a good start in the first few mins. No real standout profomances, i think the scores were 56- 34 not 100% tho. Wet game and slopy center caused the tall men of MGS to drop marks and not kick staight. Xavier maintained controll from early in the game. Xavier's backline worked well to keep the ball out and were too good for the fowards of MGS.
Ellis- Played well, did a few good things, knocked around abit in 3rd qtr

both ellis and hawkins played. ellis went well showing glimpses of his class, despite copping a few cheap shots and played the last qtr even though he couldn't run. hawkins played terrible which was disappointing for those who turned out to see if the reports were true about this kid. was toweled up by smith at CHB. can't see xavier posing a threat to anyone in the top four unless its wet.

xavier, will beat any team in the finals, they were missing kennedy, now they have him they have only lost 2 games this year out of about 15 and they have won there last 6, scotch will get beaten

kennedy is good but even ask him, he doesnt make up 70 points the only difference having him in the side will make is xavier won't get flogged, they will still be done convicingly by 20-30 points by scotch and ...what ever that purple school is

As a Geelong fan, I would hate to say it but Hawkins showed nothing at all on the weekend. Smith played a great game and I believe he could be a ruffy 4 the draft. Promises to be a solid backman in years to come. Thoughts

smith will proberly be picked up by north in the last or second last round of the draft. will become a solid player at afl level in 3-4 years

Smith's deffinitley a chance to go up for the draft. The kid's an animal and a fantastic backman. Although he gennerally gives away a bit of height to his larger oppenents, such as Hawkins, his attack and hardness at the footy more then makes up for it.

agreed oat. smith has been a shining light in a backline so depleted that spuds such as p.ellis and azzuri steve romanin where given a run. i would back smith nine times out of ten to beat an oponent his size. his attach on the footy is suicidal at time.
