Not sure we want to risk Pav in the same team. He might get in his way.

Would be a waste of a game playing him alongside Pav. Pav still attracts a lot of the inside 50 entries so couldn't see Nessie getting much of a look in. No way we would see both out there in a game for 4 points.
 
I think for Apeness's development we should have him out there with Pav. Even if the plan is to sub him off at 1/2 time. If we want him to be Pav's replacement when Pav eventually retires (he's never retiring... NEVER), or *touch wood* Pav gets injured, then he'll learn a lot more from the big man in AFL match conditions, than in training simulations, or our joke of a WAFL team.

I think it's a common misconception that he didn't just blindly blood the youth over at the Saints. The kids have to show something first, and, as reflected in their subsequent years - the kids they had at the time RTB was there weren't up to scratch. It's not his fault his recruitment & development teams were not up to task with recruiting and developing adequate talent to push for senior selection. There are only 2-3 exceptions to the rule, still there today and performing as testament to this.

I want to see what Apeness is capable of as second tall, too often we have debuted a new key forward and told them: "you're on your own!"
