Him and Apeness feel like they are late 20s now, with everything they've been through. But you're right, Apeness is only 23 and Tabs 24. Imagine if they play together more often. Definitely bright future if they can.I hope he can get through unscathed and put a few games together. Realistically he needs to stay on the park either at Peel or in the seniors for the rest of the season and show that he can impact at AFL level to remain on our list.
It's easy to forget he's only 23. Personally I like his physicality and I think he could still be a valuable addition to our forward line.
I hope he can work forward and take a few marks
NoWill Ape and Jones make up for the loss of Sandi..jury is out
You really need to ask that question. Will Ape and Jones make up for the loss of Sandi..jury is out
Totally agree .You really need to ask that question.
Sandi has been a real trooper this season.
The only advantage we have now is the unknown - think back to Darcy’s debut vs Geelong last year. He should have got a rising star nomination for that game we nearly pinched.
I’m in the camp that this game could get nasty. Having both rucks means that be they can go hard for short bursts. We need to see what both (esp. Apeness) have to offer before Darcy is back up and running after the bye.
Geez I hope the coach remembers to tell him that!Only run into the players wearing black and white.
Agree.Geez I hope the coach remembers to tell him that!
Not a bad game for our two bigs to come in really. The Pies have a few outs which balances our outs to some extent, and especially for the forwards will be good. Also coming up against an in form Grundy is the type of challenge that you are always going to get at the top level. Worst case scenario you get a pretty good reading of where your own development is at.
