4 year and a few AFL games, will be surprised next year he is not in morabinto category. For me Ape has been a big missing part of the Freo puzzle. His size, physicality and ability to ruck change the dynamics of our forward line and team significantly. I just hope his knees allow him to realise his potential.
I would go so far as to say if Ape can stay fit and play to his capabilities I wouldn't bother chasing Hogan. A big call I know but I rate his ability (and physicality) that highly.

Who to you pray to , only Ape god will work ?I'll pray every night until Round 1 that he can get on the park next year and play. Imagine if he actually goes from a handful of games since starting to a full season? The dream.
Just imagine the headline when we win the flag, and he snared the Norm Smith with a bag of 7.
PLANET OF THE APES

How much base do think he has left having missed 8 months with a knee injury? The hope with Apeness is...I don't think he's missed multiple years of pre-season training since he's been here. Maybe 2015/2016 is the only one he's missed...so its not like he hasn't got a base to build on.

Not exactly relevant, I suppose the answer is we don't really know.More than Alex Pearce.

Pearce was running on an altered gravity treadmill on the 5th of June, Apeness we haven't heard about since march.
I think the major difference in their scenarios comes from broken bones vs knee injuries. My basic point was that he has done most of the pre-seasons so for him to get back into a pre-season program isn't going to be something he hasn't experienced before. He got back to AFL level at end of 2016 after missing the pre-season and he played in the 2016 Peel Premiership and must have done the 2017 pre-season as he was picked in the first NAB game.
We seem to be optimistic about Pearce and totally negative about Apeness...and yet if you combine their WAFL League and AFL appearance - Pearce has been on the park approx. 5 more times than Apeness has and they were taken in the same draft - which is why I made the comparison.
When have you had a chance to judge his capabilities?
I go to the WAFL every week. He looks ok but haven't seen anything to indicate he will make the grade at the next level. I think people are clutching at straws as we have limited KPF options.Let me give you a hint...
Do you watch any WAFL? Go and watch training?
