No monkey business, just a regular quiet pre-season methinks.

Remember those other 20 year old, 200cm tall forwards we have on the list that are better than him?

Yeah....

So how's the motivational leadership consultancy going?

the guy has already done his ACL and now had another serious knee injury.

On top of having little talent on display when he wasn't injured.

call me negative but i'm chalking up another first round pick wasted.

Knee injuries probably had something to do with it also.

How many second year tall forwards walk into a top 4 side and have a consistent impact? Not many, if any, not many, if any/Scribe.
This. And this for Taberner as well.

Expecting those on here to turn on Alex Pearce as well after he isn't as good as Pav/McPharlin straight away.

I won't add anything else rather than I won't make judgement on our KPPs until they are 23/24. There's very few that are GOOD at afl before that age.

There was an article on him on the Freo website about a week ago. In summary, tracking back from injury fine, optimistic about making the side this year, had a nice holiday overseas.

Pretty sure a devilishly handsome fellow linked to that article towards the top of this thread (3rd post) if anyone is interested.

I didn't link it mate - you did.

Just have a look what the likes of Tippett, Hall or even Modra had done at AFL level at his current age. Can still be anything...

He isn't too far removed from effectively still being a rookie as far as development goes. Injuries have stunted proper game time, aerobic fitness development, etc. He might come good, but I will be very surprised if he does much next year.

But it's hard to see who else we could have picked. Maybe McStay, but he just looks an average sort without being anything special. The rest are a bunch of mids, some of them look OK, but not what we need. I'm sure McCarthy was penciled in for the Apeness pick, unfortunately that might have cost us a premiership.

Lot of sense Alfonz, it certainly could have cost us a premiership missing out on McCarthy and I thought they could've moved Appness to the rookie list but maybe they thought he could be taken else where. I have actually spoke to him a bit after peel games last year and he comes across as a very quiet level head person so I can see why the club like him but IMO from the afl games he has played and the wafl game I've watched live I don't see him figuring in much next season. Hope I'm wrong.
