Vice TV have released a six part documentary series on Michael C Ruppert of which the first five thus far are available on YouTube.
I became familiar with Mike Ruppert a number of years ago through his work on Peak Oil and what he views as the imminent collapse of society as we know it. He shot to prominence in the 90s when in a town hall meeting with the then CIA director John Deutch where he exposed systemic importation of illicit narcotics into the United States by the CIA along with collusion by the LAPD and other authorities.
This documentary tracks his latest movements and thoughts on the world as it stands today, which he strongly believes is on its precipice.
Intelligent, kooky, unhinged, visionary, dogged - whatever your thoughts on Ruppert and his beliefs, there's no denying his passion, persistence and presence in getting out his message on the state of the world today.
You may not agree with all, a lot, or a little of what he says. But, it makes for compelling, eye-opening viewing, covering topics often purposely avoided in mainstream media.
